I've had my Touch for about a week now and I have no major complaints. The only issue I have with it is the Touch weather feature will not let me select my city. Instead I have to select a city thats nearly 100 miles away from where I am. Other then that everything on mine is working great and I've had no lockups to date. Even if I do get a lockup every once in a while I won't be to suprised having come from a Moto Q using Windows Mobile 5 that locked up every once in a while as well.

Just for reference my screen has no problems with the waves and my manufacture date on my phone is 10-Dec-2007.

This is my first post, just wanted to add to the garbled storage card file name thing.

Had my touch since Nov. Original storage card suddenly had all fine names garbled except for the DCIM folder. I lost everything.
Got a new 4 gig card (Patriot). Last night I took some pics and vids at Supercross. Everything in the DCIM folder got erased somehow. You could take a pic and it would not be saved anywhere.

Also had one instance of garbled file names, but it returned to normal after reset. I think the actual phone has a bug since it happened on two seperate cards.
I could not even access the DCIM folder or make changes to it. When I got home I renamed the DCIM folder...DCIM, and it then saved pics.

I think the folder names on the card are getting corrupted somehow.

You need to have the phone's screen on and unlocked (if the screen is locked). Had the same problem on Vista, but it works now.

Your wrong. The phone can support a GPS but does not come with one built in. You can connect a GPS unit.

Today I go to use the face dial cube thing and all my contact pics are gone. Also, all my assigned ring tones to people are not assigned anymore. WTF?

P.P.S. I do not like the alarm at all. It beeps once, and then the notification pops up... It only beeps once every 30 secs I think. I need something that will beep until I turn it off...

You can change these settings in sounds & notifications. "My 100th Post" : )

Is There Anyway To Disable All Functions But Hang Up And Stuff Like That When Your On The Phone. My Ear Always Hits Everything And When I Go To Hang Up 10 Things Are Open Lil Help Please. Thanks

I just turn the screen off when I get a phone call, I usually place my finger on the top anyway.

I would suggest downloading and running slide to unlock pro. You can find it somewhere in these threads. I think there is a link to it under the icube thread. This program works great because anytime you dont touch the screen for five or so seconds slide to unlock pops back up. That solved my problem.

I had the Spb Shell installed on mine for a while and it caused me its share of problems, which is why I did not get the backup program and you have just confirmed my worries about the backup program, thanks.=D> Once I removed Spb Shell from my phone all my problems were solved.
