Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
In case anyone wonders, once you open an Asurion claim, it stays open for 60 days if you don't finalize it and I was told there is no way to close it or change the original details. So if you claim the phone was destroyed/damaged on 2/20/10 and don't finalize it until you see a TP2 in stock a month and a half later, not sure if that puts up a flag or anything.

Probably likely. Treat it just like canceling a car insurance claim (which I did actually about a month ago, which is where I got the idea.)

Yeah so an update on my referb touch pro 2. The windows key and back key are screwed up. the button does not click anymore and seems to have a mind of its own. the problem is that the store is not going to help because it works most of the time. just doesn't have the click and gets stuck. oh well hopefully another problem will arise and i can get another. just tought i woudl update looks like the tp2 has some issues as well or i am just unlucky.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Just wanted to add my experience today. My TP has been in poor shape for a while now but today it finally died; it was plugged in, charging, and when I went to remove it from the charger, the screen was distorted and the device wouldn't respond. Tried to do a soft reset with the stylus, and the device turned off but would not turn back on.
Filed a claim through phoneclaim.com/sprint and was told that I would be received a 6850 (Touch Pro) and not a Touch Pro 2. Oh well, at least it'll be almost new... |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Broken (cracked) bezel near the mic - Sprint store wouldn't touch it. The assistant manager took it back to the tech and returned ten seconds later with the TEP business card. I don't even know how the bezel broke and it was superficial, but they didn't care.
