Well for what its worth, my Touch Pro 2 replacement for my Touch Pro was ordered on Monday and came in Tuesday.. So had it for a few days now. I guess I just lucked out as the guy was really nice and gave me a selection that included a TPro2. Wasn't looking to replace it with another phone as I wanted a Tpro again but if they are going to offer I'm not going to turn it down.
Oh this was at a corp repair center. |

For free.. of course! But in all reality since I didn't have any problems before with my Tpro until recently, I don't know if I woulda paid for an upgrade myself.. The screen's nice and big though and it doesnt' get ultra hot anymore. The battery life is also very nice now and i use direct push all day whereas i couldn't with the tpro. The keyboard's definitely an improvement over the Tpro..
Now is it $350 improvement over the Tpro ? Borderline for me.. Like I said I didn't have any issues until recently. I'm really saving myself for the HD2 if it ever comes to Sprint |

What everybody in this thread who is still trying to get a TP2 needs to do is listen to what Dr.8820 is saying! Major points to this is................AND PLEASE LISTEN: 1)It doesn't matter which store you go to because its up to the store whether they want to do it or not...and most aren't gonna! So just go from store to store until you get one because that's exactly what I did! 2)Like Dr.8820 said, DON'T GO IN WITH A LIST OR DEMANDING A TP2 OR TALKING ABOUT A LIST! Even if they don't offer you one the best thing to do is to hit up another store! These stores really don't know when they will be able to order these phones so it is kind of a random thing to go to a store and they have'em! Best bet is if they don't offer you a TP2 as a replacement model than take your phone back and go to another store (which is what I did)! Or you can have them order you another TP and take it to another store when you get it! I kindah got lucky because I stopped for like a week and when I went to get it repaired again that was the last time I had to go to a repair center because they finally offered me a TP2! Try not to go to the same store 2wice unless you went to all the stores you can go to! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! I made the post this big 1)to get everyone who is still trying to get one attention, 2)because people keep asking the same questions and getting the same answers, 3)hoping it will take a whole page so it can be easy to find and 4)so people can at least know that no special words or phrases, memos nor getting mad at sprint just because they won't upgrade you to a TP2 even though its not mandatory for them to do so won't get you anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No questions need to be asked, just follow this post and you will see what I'm talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for reading this post too, I really do appreciate it because I want everyone trying to succeed! P.S.-the average person who can read at a 6 grade level and has an I.Q. of at least 50 points can read the contents of this post within 5 minutes......I know........I'm one of those people! Take the test and see where you are!

I agree, but there are 146 pages of posts as of mine and some things though you read it you need to try. I didnt mention any list and stated i need a slider phone. Those reps dont know anything given she offered me a Treo pro, Intrepid, BB and a WM stardard phone (I forgot but i remember that it had no touch). Maybe there needs to be a sticky like:
Points to keep in mind: 1. If you are on your 1st handset still, dont even bother. 2. Do not contact Customer Service because they will not and can not give you the TP2 3. When you go to a store (mainly a authorized repair center), do not mention what you read or even anything you know. Go in asking for the same phone and dont budge 4. Be nice! 5. As mentioned in step 3, do not mention any research you have done, and site you saw it on etc... 6. As we all know the downfalls of the phone and if you are going to fib a little, make sure its things that are consistent with what is universally known (experienced 1st hand, not known by just reading) such as poor battery life, overheating, faulty keyboard. In other words, things that they cant fix by reflashing the phone. 7. Be nice 8. And finally, share your experience with us so we can all read about as many instances as possible |

i agree with everything except this, as this was how i got mine. called tech support 10/28 and they sent me to a repair center, repair center ordered and i got it 10/29. but what people have to realize is that this WILL NOT work for everyone. as radar stated, keep trying different stores or *2 reps. the tech told me sprint was doing this, so remain calm and it'll happen.
