The original Touch did not do this. The 6700/mogul did not do this. No PDA I have owned has does this. The touchscreen I bought for my carputer did not do this. My TomTom does not do this. The list goes on. This is the only device I have ever used that has had this issue. Does the Instinct really have this problem? I have played with more than a few Treos and I never noticed it there, either. I had a few ipaq PDA's and they sure didn't have this phenomenon either... |

Re: Touch Pro Build Date
For Sprint, there really aren't any other options for me. The only other options, really, are the Xperia X1 and the iPhone 3G. I need quick text entry, with Exchange support. I can't do the tiny blackberry-like keys, and I'm tired of the slow entry (with ANY SIP) on my original Touch. The Mogul has crippled memory, and I can't think of anything that has a great keyboard that is not enormously-crippled in some way.

Re: Touch Pro Build Date
I have a new one today...
10/28. I traded in my 10/12 which I was happy with except for the sound. Other phones had a louder speaker. This new phone has a louder speaker. No lag. It does have the screen sensitivity issue on the left edge of the screen, like every other one I have tested. It does however have two cosmetic defects: 1. The chrome trim above the volume buttons has a gap between itself and the screen. 2. The home button is slightly raised. Everything else seems fine, but I have not been able to test for heat yet. IF they come out with a new Hardware version with changes, I will switch to that, however I think this phone (heat problems aside, will update if I find otherwise) is a keeper since I use a body cover that covers all the cosmetic defects... |

Not a single one of my 8 friends that have iPhones have ever had a manufacturing defect--that they are aware of. Now, with the software, that's a different issue... |
