it makes perfect sense by physics actually. Think about a piece of clear plastic (the ones items in say Best Buy are put in, blister pack i believe its called). Its more flexible at the middle and more rigid on the edges where theres more support. Its simple physics really think about it, it makes perfect sense that the plastic covering the screen is more flexible in the middle making it more touch sensative than the edges
