battery life

is the indicator a good show of the battery life? I've had to charge it twice today so just wondering. Been home all day and haven really done much but text and talk once on the phone and on my mogul it still be strong battery on the pro already about dead for the second time today. I think I will let it die and charge it from scratch and see if maybe it just needs a complete refill if not guess i will be looking on ebay for the battery. is it the same battey as the touch?

Re: battery life

I find my battery a little weak, but much better now that it's been conditioned through a couple full charge cycles...also, there is a cab on here you should find and install...it gives you a % battery meter at the top of the screen instead of the stock one, and appears to be more accurate to me...

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Battery life on the touch pro is horrible. Even with all the registry hacks to prolong battery life I only have use of the phone from 9am to 1:30 ish pm and then have to charge it. Now I spend a lot of time on the phone talking do to business and data is not used as much. I even have active sync push disabled. At least with the titan and vogue I was able to get one full day of use out of the phone. I have not bought an extended battery for any of my phones since the XDA IIs. Come on manufactures and give us an extended battery because we need it.

my battery life sucks big time the only thing that bothers me about the device. i have also tried all the hacks and cab tweaks i even tried disabling the location feature and turned off touchflo. still couldnt get thru the day, probably gonna buy a spare battery.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Whoa getting great battery life today. Was only getting about 9 hours before warning, but today I am at 70'ish percent. 8-3.20pm. The day is not over, but it is a dramatic increase. I will be happy if it can last 18 hours. I guess we'll find out tonight.

What's the difference? I am not sure, but I can guess.
1. I run GPStool from hannip on treocentral. It turns off GPS services. I also change location service to 911. You have to turn everything back on though if you use anything GPS related. No big deal.
2. I did NOT install the GPS lag fix. I had it before. It's possible that could have drained the battery as it increases the gain.
3. I did NOT install battery hack, but I did enable the battery hacks from Advance Tool.cab

Today could have been a fluke, we will see tomorrow.

(active sync push on when mail arrive, gps for 10mins, 30min phone call, received 40 emails and replied to 20 emails, BT off, Wifi off.)
