Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Re: Heat Issue Revisited

From my research, this heat issue appears to be related to the radio... I have posted data that shows when the radios are on they are drawing 2-3 watts from the battery to put out what the FCC says is 0.25W of power. I'd be willing to bet it is the same with the Diamond. If your interested, here is the post:

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Given the specs of the charger, I didn't consider this a "rapid" charger. On my previous phones with a smaller capacity battery and similiar spec'd standard charger, it would take more than 2 to 3 hours.

Are you saying that your phone doesn't charge when it's turned off or just when the screen is off?

Check the d-pad to see if a light is illuminating while plugged-in.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I think i read somewhere that HTC's making a 2400 mAh battery that should fit with the stock battery cover. Crossing my fingers onthat. But +1 on seidio. The max battery I have seen 3600 mAh gave you 126% extra juice for the 6700. It also made your phone look prego but let's see if they can make it smaller for the TP.

Preliminary tests after 24 hours shows that I'm getting decent battery life. I've used wifi for 1 hr, 1 hr of cellular data, ~20 minutes of calling, ~2 hours of just messing with phone, ~50 sms. I'm still at 20% and it's been exactly 24 hours. Here's my setup:

1. Disabled TF3d
2. Disabled "receive all incoming beams" under settings -> connection
3. Disabled gsps / location settings under phone settings
4. Have phonealarm
5. I don't have any custom tweaking apps installed nor do I the audiopara (phonealarm appears to have a fix to increase volume)
6. Backlight is always set on auto adjust
7. Average radio signal is 75%
8. Soft reset only once
9. Peeps who receive a lot of SMS and don't check them as they come might also want to try looking for an entry in their registry DisableSMSWakeUpEvent and setting it to 0 so as to prevent device from waking up upon SMS receipt.

Battery life is night and day compared to the Diamond. I can get through the day with my Pro and still have some juice left.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

i've been going from 5:30a-6a to 1:30p with moderate usage (30 minute email (2 accounts), no bluetooth, moderate surfing/playing) -- today it was off the charger at 6am, used the navigation to go to a new place this morning (10 minute drive), changed one email account to pull every 10 minutes. and now at 10:20 i'm on 20%

100% to 20% in 3.5 - 4 hours? pretty bad.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Yesterday I pulled it off the charger at 6:30am. Did moderate data usage (surfing the web) for about 1 to 2 hours. Used the GPS to play with GPSToday I downloaded. Watched a little YouTube and Sprint TV (about 30 minutes). Did a few texts. At 10:30pm, got a low battery warning.
