I'm firing off an email, still can't get Sprint to replace my dead phone via the insurance I pay. I got it escalated, they called back once and said they couldn't contact me 3 times so they de-escalated it, and never return my call when i called back. It's only a couple weeks out now, retentions did give me a month off on my bill so at least I"m not paying for the unworking phone. I'm going to email ecare though and see what I can do.

I can feel your same problems. I had My unit replaced Sept 18 of this year , to watch it give me the red light go into bootloader screen randomly. I called sprint on Sept 25 and they offered me a touch as an upgrade ( Are they Loco or something) ?He explained that is all HE could do on his end as the system looks at the touch upgrade because of the unit being a 6900. The diamond is a 6950 and the pro 7000 i believe. I refused He contacted Assurion to have them express one out brand new in the box with what they called express delivery. I did not receive the unit so i called sprint spoke with a few reps one telling me the unit was discontinued , until she checked the site and still saw it. she stated they will be pulling the units off as it is older ( she also spent 108 minutes talking about everything under the sun until i practically begged to get off) she was nice though . It was confirmed from 2 other calls including Retentions whom i called to vent my dissatisfaction with as well. I told them a loyal customer for over 10 years on the sprint and nextel side with 4 out of 5 lines a PDA phone . He said if he shipped a phone it wouldn't get to me until Monday. I was referred to the store where they gave me a brand new in the box phone and another arriving Monday brand new through Assurion, I will return that one as well. The comfort from retentions and its noted if im not happy with my phone and because im a valued customer they will do all they can to make sure im happy including an upgrade. I did not push the issue as im waiting for the Diamond Pro as the replacement.
If you are seeking to upgrade to a Diamond Pro I encourage all to wait until the unit is out before you receiving any promises. It will cut the confusion and miscommunication

I don't know, but I can't seem to get anyone, even retentions to do an advance exchange. The online tool was saying out of stock, now it offers me a plain touch, which won't work for me.

eCare pushed my case # back to retentions, don't know why cause I never asked for them or said I wanted to cancel. All I know is with all this run around, I'm going to push for a good deal.

Hmm, the best I got from them was $225, I emailed back asking to have them honor the $100 mir instantly. I could ask for a larger discount, but I don't know how to ask without seeming too greedy. They originally wanted to re-escalate my case, then they said I could upgrade for $299, then I got them to give me $225, so we'll see what happens from here.
