Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

I am trying to redo the calibration data.. these numbers:

echo 800,875,100,675,450,575,800,175,100,175 >

What are they? I'm guessing they are 5 points on the touch screen..? Can you provide any additional info on them?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

I just ran the latest, todays build on my Alltel TP. I was unable to make a call. Data worked though. I'm not sure the call went out or anything but I definitely didn't hear anything.

The interface sure takes some getting use to.

Downloaded the new 1/16 build I didn't notice any screen calibration issues didn't change my startup.txt tho. Data works but didn't test phone calls yet. I was poking around in the system.sqsh and data.img and I was seeing if there was anything I could tweak to make it run butter. I have not found much yet but if I come upon anything ground breaking I'll post what I changed.

Bring up the on screen keyboard, can you hit the P key on it?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

To all involved in this project, PLEASE continue! you are so close! I cannot upgrade to an android powered phone from the TP. I will lose the SERO plan if I do. Eventually I will give in, but running Android on these phones are FINE. WM is so inefficient that I have found it is the OS, not the phone, that warrants upgrading. The android build so far is snappy compared to WM. sure it has some issues, but I can't even begin to think how much faster it is when the code is optimized on the TP. So to your comment about not knowing if people will be using the TP... I see myself using it for possibly another year or so.

i'm stuck that the "touch the android" screen because my calibration is messed up... any hints on how to get by it, or is there any progress on the calibration issue?

Did you remove the .txt on the new configuration file? I know I forgot to do that and the calibration was all messed up but once I removed the .txt and it became a .conf file it was all good.
