just got off with retentions..received one month credit ~$100 and $10 per month credit for 13 months...total $230. definitely not the $150 upfront but more than makes up for it in the long run.

I got passed from retentions to a supervisor's voicemail. The supervisor told me she couldn't do anything for me. On top of that I was also complaining that they refuse to give me the $100 mail in rebate because I ordered the phone from my wifes contract and activated it on my line. (Both lines are on the same account). The supervisor told me that I can't get the rebate because I did not have it activated on the line it was ordered from for 30 days, even though I renewed that contract for 2 years.

I told her that was not an acceptable answer, and that I had even just had a friend switch to sprint 2 weeks ago. I then asked for her supervisor, now I am waiting to talk to her supervisor. I will be called in 2-3 days, allegedly.

The whole contract renewal thing seems stupid. If I have an account with 2 phones on it, and I use the $150 credit for signing up for 2 years, but activate the phone on the other line who cares? The ultimate goal is for me to sign on the 2 year contract again.

rebate rules stipulate you have to have the phone on the same line for 30 consecutive days or else you're no longer eligible. if you didn't follow it then you're SOL if they don't want to give you your rebate money.

*2 rep, plus supervisor, just made it clear to me that the Palm Pre is their only price reduction, price alter, price anything. No credit, no refund, no nothing. He also made it clear that he was putting notes in my file to the effect that I have been told and no credit would be coming. He acted a little miffed that I insisted that others are getting price match credits and that I didn't just hang up the 1st time they told me. I was nice with them, but he really didn't want to talk about it.

Insist that you don't mind or care to switch to verizon because of this. They'll give it up to you real quick. Try through online chat. I did that =p

What would you honestly do in these situations?

A touch pro 2 New for $380 not from sprint, so no tie to a new contract (not eligible yet for full upgrade)

or

Wait til I am partially eligible for upgrade $75 until Nov 1st using the methods in this thread, which I don't know what price I would get from Sprint

Its Sunday he didnt want to be at work today...Dont worry about him putting anything in your file...The next rep/SUPV can care less about what he said in his notes, basically the issue has not been resolved so ......Good Luck

Last year I did a similar thing and GOT the rebate.

Ordered New Line With HTC Touch(for Daughter).
Received phone...Same day...Wife saw phone and Liked it better than her Centro.
Swapped new Touch to Wife's old line (Palm Centro)
Palm Centro Swapped to NEW Line(Daughter...not happy oh well)
Did the MIR...waited...Got check.
Maybe they changed the "TERMS" since then? But all I know is that I DID get the MIR.


Fast forward 1 year... I'm Getting TP2( waiting impatiently on UPS).
Daughter will get my workhorse Mogul...(is all excited)

I was told at my local Sprint Store that on October 1st, the price would be dropped to 199 USD after discounts to match Verizon's price for the phone. I am still in my 30 day return window. I could return the phone and repurchase it, but that would cost me in shipping, and also would be bad business for Sprint as it would be used. Several other people I know have recieved the 150 dollar difference as a account credit.

I apologize for any inconvenience, however we do not show that the phone was sold to you with your upgrade eligibility as you were not eligible for it. The price drop information was only eligible to be applied when the line was eligible for that discounted pricing. So if you were offered the match in this, it has to be noted from the vendor where you were offered this. You would need to go back into that Sprint store and have them note any offer on the account that you were given if we are to be able to credit anything towards the account.

I wasn't offered this in the store, they just informed me that the price was dropping on the 1st, so I wanted to see if I could have the price drop as a credit, it would have the same net effect without me having to return a perfectly good phone, so Sprint would not suffer.
