Re: Touch Pro 2 no longer available through Asurion
its this thing: (it is ugly and definitely not what I want instead of my TP2)
http://www.gadgetell.com/tech/commen...ing-more-real/ Anyone know much about the Imagio? I guess that is my only choice, I tried to get them to give me a Droid, they said they dont carry them anymore, I tried for an incredible and they said they are out of stock, so I pressed my luck to get a Droid X and they said no.... |

Re: Touch Pro 2 no longer available through Asurion
The Imagio is basically a keyboardless version of the TP2. There are some other differences, but that is a quick summary. I would have told them I would have waited for a Droid Incredible to come in stock, but then again, I would like to get one of those and use the physical keyboard rarely anymore.

I just tried bc I am bored and the asurion site has our phones in stock and offered to replace it. The 7380 is the TP2 btw.

Re: Touch Pro 2 no longer available through Asurion
I filed a claim on 7/5/2010. Got my phone yesterday. Had to escalate things with Verizon and ended up getting a *edit* new one from them. Asurion said the TP2 was on backorder, and then offered me an Imagio, to which I promptly said no. What pisses me off, is I am one of those people who try to take care of things, still had my original TP2 which I bought on release day last year. Had it not been for a fall my original TP2 would still be in my hands and I would still be happy. Then I get this kind of run around after paying for insurance for nearly an entire year. What gives?
Well, just checked ##778, and according to that its a new unit not refurb. Somewhat happier. However, I did have to wait for what seemed like an eternity for it. Last edited by sonictronic; 07-28-2010 at 01:57 AM. Reason: New not refurb. |

I don't mind the touch keyboard on my phone. Not the most accurate all the time, but I find it easier than constantly opening/closing the hardware keyboard and waiting for the screen to rotate.
