Well, just checked ##778, and according to that its a new unit not refurb. Somewhat happier. However, I did have to wait for what seemed like an eternity for it.

FWIW, everything I've been told in the past, is you can no longer check if it's a refurb by ##778 or any other configuration, they reset the phones entirely erasing everything off of them so you cannot tell if it's a refurb or NIB. If it comes in the box with everything included, I would assume it's NIB, if it doesn't come that way, I assume it's a refurb. That's how it was with VZW replacing my Omnia previously and per VZW cs and Assurion also.
