But it does have everything to do with the topic...Will you get the HD2 and come over to a GSM network?

EXACTLY. I can't wait. Since arguing that Verizon rips people off isn't good enough, a faster 3G might be.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?

We did get drailed a little, but not too much. I mean, this thread is about leaving Sprint for T-Mobile to get an HD2, right? So comparing Sprint to T-Mobile is entirely valid and on topic.

Now, a serious question for yu guys...

If T-Mobile announces they will flip the "on" switch on their new 21 meg HSPA+ nationwide network, and the HD2 will be one of the launch devices for said network, and none of their plan prices are going up. Would you guys dump Sprint for the HD2 then?

I still wouldn't. A keyboard is that important to me. But if they had something like it with a keyboard and tilting screen, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

i'll be 100% honest. I have no problems about leaving my carrier, sprint doesn't pay me. if they turned that on and everywhere i went i was able to get service then i would go to tmobile in a heartbeat, i'de be an idiot not to. But i live in san jose, ca aka Silicon Valley, one of the most technilogical cities in the US and tmobile service sucks out here compared to sprint or verizon.

I personally guarantee that the data prices will NOT go up for T-Mobile. I'm used to their ways. That's more of a Verizon move, not T-Mobile. Especially considering they only increased rates lately because they were rolling everything out for the first time ($20 to $25/month). T-Mobile is the people's provider. And I have no idea why they are.

I have to say that, an HD2 with keyboard, I would strongly consider leaving Sprint for, provided I could get similar 3G coverage, but only if there wasn't something similar in the pipe that was SERO compatible. In all honesty I'm leaning more and more towards an Android phone when it comes time to give up the TP2. As much as I love Windows and it's extensibility I'd be a fool not to admit that developer support for it is drying up and that's killing it very quickly.

Jumped ship for Android now that WM is officially useless.

From the latest podcasts, Windows Mobile 7 is going to dominate.

i was considering droid also because my girl has one but the only reason i'm mad at my winmo and the tp2 is because it doesn't have a snap dragon processor. I can live without the capacitive screen (even though i want it badly) but the lag that winmo has with it programs and how long they take to activate is killing me, all the reviews show program activation is instant with the hd2.

That is my hope, but they need to get developers on board first. I'm sicking of seeing apps with no WM version.

Pandora (the sad excuse we have doesn't count)
Slacker
Groovefish (they even have a freaking Pre app in the works, but not WM)
Hell, even Engadget has plans for all platforms other than WM.
