Bad calls are customers who literally curse at the representatives. Those customers are typically flagged. No matter how bad your service is or no matter what company it is you are not entitled to be cursing at the customer service rep. They are there to help you not to take your abuse. If you feel your service sucks to the point that you want to be abusive then you can call corporate and express yourself. Those are the people you pay your money to.

I received a response to the e-mail I sent to e-care, you can clearly see it is a copy/paste answer... they even forgot to paste my name after "Dear ," in the beginning of the message.

However, this is what shocked me... look at this statement, anyone make sense of it?

I also apologize for the inconvenience you are facing due to ROM updates on HTC Mogul. I would like to share the information that the updates are done by the manufacturer of the handset and as mentioned on the website, it will be updated on the account.
My answer to that was that I know HTC is the manufacturer but that ultimately the device is Sprint-branded and Sprint is the one that provides support for it. I also asked what would be updated, and on what account since they are not clear at all on that message.

My carrier is Bell and I have the 6800. Bluetooth is unusable as the phone will freeze within a few minutes of going to sleep while paired to a my headset or hands free in my car.

This is my third 6800 and they all have / had the same problem.

Also other bugs include alarms not waking up device while asleep connected to the charger.

I sent Sprint an email last night asking for a refund of my Mogul, and said I'd consider a swap for a different phone.

I believe Sprint should allow the following options (customer gets to choose):
1. Refund now of original purchase price
2. Trade now for equivalent price/functionality phone
3. If customer wants to wait for "early 2008" ROM and it either doesn't happen or doesn't fix BT, GPS and RevA, then options (1) and (2) available to customer within 30 days of release of that ROM.

If you feel the same way, I'd suggest you send similar email to Sprint.

Sprint emailed me today - they have agreed to swap.

I know the Mogul has issue but come on guys. Some of you are taking this a little bit too far. It's for over the line complaints like these that Sprint gets a bad name for customer service and also why prices for devices are so high.

A lot of you guys that are screaming at Sprint would not have known there were issues with the Mogul if you hadn't visited sites like PPCGEEKS or XDA-DEV. Even sadder is that many of you could easily live with the issues but would rather take this opportunity to scam Sprint for refunds of upgrades.
It's sad because forums like PPCGEEKS and XDA-DEV and PDAPhonehome are there to assist not as means to rally and abuse the system.

Those are my 2 cents.

I'm not speaking for everyone here, but I am personally sending e-mails to Sprint just to add to everyone else's e-mail so that they know that we as consumers would like to see these issues worked on a little faster than they are.

I am one of the lucky ones that doesn't have too many issues with the device, however, I feel this has ben handled pretty poorly with the release of 2.16 since many of the new issues it caused would have been discovered with some minimal testing.

As I said, I don't speak for everyone hear. I know there are people that have gone through many devices, others have far greater issues with the Mogul and that may be rhe reason why they are asking to swap devices.

Just don't assume that everyone that contacts Sprint wants something for free or to scam them. Some of us just want to voice our concerns as consumers and paying costumers.

I emailed Sprint last night about my problems with my Mogul. I got an email today that said they could possibly exchange my Mogul for a new one. But I would have to take it to a repair center for further assistance. I doubt I will go and do it. My Mogul's problems are not nearly as extreme as others have reported. Plus my with my luck the new Mogul would be more buggy then my current one.

This is not a personal attack on you so please bear with me. I've used PPCP since the first PPCPE by T-Mobile and everybody who had that first phone edition or earlier PPC without the phone would/can attest that alarm on pocket pc phones are touch and go. Nobody can name a PPC device that didn't have an alarm problem.

So your alarm not working on your PPC is not a legitimate issue. They rarely always work, some people will swear that they've never had alarm issues and some what will tell you it's a nightmare.

The first couple hundred threads in XDA-DEV website are all about alarm issue. So like I said, I'm not sure what you meant by you've been using PPCP since day 1, I have and they've always had alarm issues.
