-boot into bootloader, then recovery

-reboot

Just how long does it take for the reset to actually take place and reboot the phone? Mine takes hours and nothing?

I tried doing it using ##3282# --- restore several time (I have been trying all day) and have not gotten any result.

very true. this whole process is making me delusional. tried every way under the sun.... nothing has worked. Even once had activation not work, then did manual, then dialed one and my voicemail was some other guy's cell phone so I'm talking to some dude when I just dialed 1 for vm!! Well, the line is not getting shorter for the ride. lol.

Get on a stock rooted ROM, do the.##3282# and then nand back to your current ROM. Win.

Whats so hard about getting the PRL 1.40 ?

I just go to Settings, and hit Update PRL.

Why is everyone going through all those steps?

I'm using FroyoV5 custom ROM.

We are talking about PRI not PRL. Your PRL is not 1.40, I am assuming if you have it updated it is 60669.

PRI is 1.40_003

and PRL is 60669

Thats what is shown in the software info in Settings.
