I am thinking about jumping to 3.5, what are the installation instructions?

Thanks!

Colonel,

I cast a vote for the freeware route. The only exception I'd like to see is VC 1.6 pre-enabled on a stable 3.3 or 3.5 (by stable I mean nuke the shell errors, which are a minor annoyance IMHO).

Has inclose been determined to be the cause of the shell errors?

Todd/Indy

Nevermind. I changed USB ports and it worked... Odd.

Has anyone successfully used the Colonel's abcPower OEM? It won't compile for me when cooking my own rom. When I remove the abcPower OEM the rom compiles.

The weather panel OEM doesn't work for me either. Is it just me?

Tried installing it and moving the exe, but once i uninstall VC, it no longer works correctly.

I still get shell errors, but very rarely. I don't even mind since the ROM reloads so fast!

As for SPB, I agree with not includning them. There are other ROMs there that have them included.

And I love having O2 and InClose. The sound profile in O2 is priceless to me!
Try copying the VoiceCmd.exe to you storage card. Then uninstall the VC you installed from the cab and do a soft reset. Now, copy the VC exe from the SD to \Windows. This should be working as it is all I do.
Tried this:
1. Installed VC.
2. Soft reset.
3. Tested to see if VC works. It does.
4. Copied exe over to SD.
5. Uninstalled VC.
6. Soft reset.
7. Copied exe to \Windows.
8. Soft reset.
9. Navigate to Start > Settings > Voice Command.
10. Select 'Enable.'
11. Click OK.
12. Receive error stating "Voice Command has encountered a problem. Restart Voice Command and try again."

Still it does not work. I tried soft reseting again and nothing. I guess my next order of business would be hard reset or reflash (can't remember if I have your latest).

I was ale to get abcPower to compile. I haven't flashed it yet, so not sure if it works.

WeatherPanel is a no go. I tried just compiling it from the Helmi's base kitchen, but to no avail.

I was having the exact problem!! I don't know if this will work for you but what I did was put the exe on the storage card. Then I hard reset. The very first thing I did was put the exe in windows directory, then while I was still in the windows directory after it copied I tapped the exe icon and then VC worked. There may be a easier way then hard resetting but I'm just letting you know what worked for me. It was driving me nut's.

I figured it might be something due to installing it in the first place. I'm going to try hard reseting later today and see if it works.
