Good evening everyone, I purchased a Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 (CDMA), I noticed that I try installing any ROMs (including the original) after one or two days is ruined and I have to format, I also tried to redo the formatting the task29, change the radio module and install any program, but I could not solve my problem.

Does anyone know how can I fix this?

I would say that it's something you are installing if it only starts to happen after a couple of days, what you need to do is to Task 29, flash the rom, factory reset it and all that other great stuff to ensure that you are getting a clean install and then one by one start installing your programs, I would venture to say that it's something you are installing that's causing the issue since you are saying that the phone starts to mess up after a couple of days. Plus you could always try another version of NRGs roms to see if it happens on different roms.

Also if you check within the first couple posts in this thread you will see a link to the thread WiKi, has a lot of information on all things NRG Rom related plus more so if you are new and haven't been following this thread for very long take a look at that, welcome to the thread, happy flashing <phone kind, unless your into the other kind lol>.

just now seeing this. my main issue is my texts get jumbled in the messaging client and sometimes replying to threads sends messages to the wrong people. it'll start to slow down, freeze up sometimes...usually its like that after a flash then a few soft resets it goes away and then a few days later it begins to come back.

Usually in that case, it can be the microSD storage card. I have had lots of times when I thought I had a bad flash and it turned out to be the storage card. Most recently, my usually very stable phone started acting up, slowing down and freezing up. I changed out my 2 year old 8 gig class 4 card with a brand new 16 gig class 6 and everything is great again.

So, either take out the storage card or get a new one and see how things run. It CAN still be a factor even if you are not loading anything on to it. Also, you can format your current card but that will only buy you some time.

Give it a try and see if that helps.

then try the other stuff i said to try, a different version on an NRG rom or flash back to the stock rom and see if it does it on those also, really when stuff goes wrong on these roms you should have a basic list of stuff that you try and do to narrow things down and then when all of that fails you ask for help. Like DaveTN said copy everything off of your sd card, reformat it, put stuff back on it and then see how things run, try different roms, don't load any of your programs until you see how the fresh installed rom is working first.

Did you buy this phone new? I ask because it seems sprint has discontinued them.

If you did get it from the sprint store, I would relock it and take it back and try a new one.

If you got it used, are you tring to hook it up on the Sprint network? Sometimes phones from one network do not play well with another network.

If you are on sprint, this may be why it was sold. I know thats not what you want to hear, and I hope it is not the case.

Regardless, the more info we have the better chance of getting a solution.

I don't have a problem from my TP, just my PC. It might be my line of site internet. Who knows.
