- Msm7kcpuspeed: i already followed the instructions in the Blackstone thread you linked (except the actual speed). Now i lowered down the speed and the device is running well. I liked both OCT and WiMoSpeed (never had a problem)...but i have to admit that with the same speed settled, Msm7kcpuspeed makes the device run really faster.
Now in my Xda_uc folder i have it + setcpuspeed + a reg with my settings.

- Winstart: also i tried several beta versions in the last months...but i always found some bugs here and there. The final version seems working well (i tried only the free version...which has less functions).

You can also call sprint and demand it. I am on Verizon and the code is always 000000. You can also update your PRL on Verizon by dialing *228. I assume that there is something equivilent from sprint. You would not need your password for that.

That about sums it up for me. I haven't experienced any real issues and this build seems to be way faster than the last few builds. I don't get nearly the lockups I have in the past. I can't say that the battery life has been great but I would say about average to all the ROMs that I have flashed thus far and I can't ask for too much more. Great work NRG! Hope the 28XXX build stays around.

Just go into the FAQ, took me a crap load of time to put all that in, did you do it in the order suggested? PRL after PRI? OK, I list

1. run Sprint Update Profile & PRL.cab (paperclip) OR
2. settings, system, update PRL OR
3. start (winkey), tools, update prl & profile OR
4. DL ninja duck tools cab, install, has all of them (paperclip)

Did you try #2? mine is in settings & doesn't require a MSL... disclaimer.. I mod & tweak a ton, they may not be in yours.. but the paperclip does work in their to DL files.. Your husbands phone has the latest PRL.. that's why his gets more bars. you need to update. as mentioned in the faq, if you ran pri, it'll lower your prl... yes stock roms can have older prl's

Just go to taskmanager look @ processes & ck for winstart it'll tell you how much memory it uses, also ensure you check the process ninjaduck post @ top of page before & after!

The only way I have ever been able to get the MSL code for my tp2 is by following the instructions on post 2 of this link:

I had the same experience as teradog with the BAF app (reboot each time I tried to use it). I think it probably works great for Verizon folks, but not for Sprint TP2s.

There is a great thread on PPC where the OP continually posts the most current Sprint PRL file (60675 as of my post):

I download my PRL zip files from this thread and do a manual update via EPST. Sometimes they'll post the diffs of what towers where added/removed for each update to see if it is worth doing the update in the first place. They also have links and discussions to this app that worked for me on more than a half dozen Sprint TP2s to get the MSL:

[APP] Grab MSL V0.5 - Should work on TP2, TP, Mogul etc.

I should add that the instructions say "Sprint MSL", but the instructions work for all carriers (I'm with USCC and it worked great).

Ever since I discovered (with the guidance from many posts of experienced folks on here and XDA) how GWES could quickly jump in size but rarely shrink due to system usage, caching, apps not releasing graphics objects on termination, etc... that's usually the first thing I monitor these days.

I skimmed the winstart thread and TP2 GSM thread @ XDA. No one there has been including the size of GWES in their memory free comparisons using this new v2 stuff. I forget if teradog did in his initial winstart v1.x reviews, likely he did as he is great in detailing in his comparisons.
