I've read a lot about updating your radio, and I've read the wiki too but I can't find what the radio does. Why am I able to use a Verizon radio on a Sprint phone?

For those on sprint wanting to update the PRL, I've been using the "Mr.X Sprint PRL update cab" in the downloads for this thread. See my sigline or the wiki/faq for the links to the downloads.

Works great for me.

Edit: Just installed the cab I mentioned, did a soft reset and went to the Start> Settings > System folder and ran the Update PRL program and it updated my phone to 60675. All is working well.

wassup fella's, just wanted to check in and see how things were going? I see things are running about the same around here. Seen the questions about PRL and all that and was wondering why anyone would be having issues as all you have to do is run the pri/prl/profile cab and then update that way, but didn't want you guys to throw me out since I switched to the dark side lol. Dave did you switch also? I seen a comment from Teradog that said something that insinuated that you did so I was curious.

Hi Kiowa, Good to see you still hanging around here.

Nope, still on the TP2 with about another year left before I can get hooked...I mean upgrade again.

I've been playing around with tiad8's build of android on my tp though and it works quite well but its still a work in progress so I dont (yet) use it as my daily driver. Its enough for me to want an android phone instead of a WP7 though.

NRG is still feeding my addiction with excellent ROM's for my TP2 so I'm happy but due to the demands of PA school, I've not been flashing as much. Fortunately his ROM is quite stable for me.

I try to check in here from time to time though...usually during really long and boring classes... and see whats going on. Looks like a very good new group has stepped into our shoes and continued the tradition. (Thanks guys!)

Anyway...back to studying for my epidemiology midtern...

Hey kiowa, so many cabs... can't remember, which one was it that updated prl & didn't need a msl?
