I'm using 23xxx and cannot get Qmenu to work from the start menu icon at the bottom. It works from the hardware button and the top left corner, but not the old start menu icon. I have arkswitch disabled too.

Looks like I spoke to soon. After a little use, I came to the same conclusion that checking "Replace System Start Menu" in QM didn't solve the 21xxx Win softkey lockup issue.

I install QM after every flash because I like the way it works. I have been doing this since last spring, with both 21xxx and 23xxx builds, and it always works fine for me. The only thing I do different with 23xxx is disable Arkwitch by removing from startup.

Since QM always works fine for me, it would seem that these problems are related to the tweaks NRG made, the way it's cooked in, or possible with the way the standard WM start menu is being disabled since I never did that until my 9/13 flash.

Probably a simple tweak that will solve it. It works fine with the Windows hardware key, so there is a workaround. Not a big deal IMO. Someone posted earlier that they performed a reset of QM and lost all the custom settings. I may give that a try and see if it solves the softkey lockup issues.

Does anyone know if there is a way to have the "Single volume" Off setting actually work correctly?

As in, when I turn off the Single volume setting, I am able to set two different levels for "System" and "Ring", but my ringer's volume is still controlled by the "System" setting. ???

I personally prefer being able to keep my ringer volume fairly high, but keep the system volume low more often than not.

Thanks for reading.

go to your settings tab, select sound and display and turn off "single volume" then you can set ringer and system sounds at different levels

No worries he sees everything that goes on in this thread, he may not be able to fix it the next update but as soon as he figures it out it should show up in the changelog... maybe lol. I hope he nails it on the next update for ya

anyone know the registry entry to change the icons in the qmenu? registry entries that change icons for the normal windows startmenu don't seem to change the icons in the qmenu.
