Suggestion #2. Had something similar happen once and just manually entered the boot loader screen, then hooked it up to my computer and was able to flash.

all i see it got detected at the bottom not in network devices

You won't see the device name in device manager. You will just see some window mobile adapter number. Just click uninstall then unplug. then try plugging it back in.

let me tell you my story iam on sprint now want to make a move to metro pcs but the houdini program they used to flash the phone does not detect it as a tp2 it shows as a generic device therefore unable to flash to metropcs i went to like 5 metropcs stores same thing is there something i need to be able to make that change ??? help anyone

i can flash any custom roms no problem
it is just not been detected as a tp2 at all

Okay, the 21905 Cookie ROMs are up! But there are two of them that are the same size. Which one do I download? I don't want any of the "bad .xml file" issues I've been reading about here on the forum.

That being said, I'm currently running the Energy 05_31 21XXX Cookie Dinik Rom and it has been solid as a rock. I'm considering not even flashing to the newest version since Cookie 1.8 is so new...screw it----> downloading the second one off of hotfile!!

i cant remember if it was howard forums that i read and there is a guide....but this individual commented on the same that it was not recognized. to bypass that tell the individual that is doing the houdini to do it as a TP1. yes a Touch Pro 1 and all should be good after he/she adds your esn to their database.

it's going to work, I'm in Iraq <deployed> and have stuck a local sim card in the phone and it works, but I just did it to see if it worked I didn't try doing anything else because the network here is bad so it's hard to get a signal. You'll be fine with taking your phone and getting a local sim card, and make sure before you leave the place that's selling the sim card that you have all the settings you need in case the sim card doesn't automatically adjust them.
