I had this problem with most of the ROMs. However, the latest May 16 23XXX works through my ear piece. I'm running VVM 1.1.12.9. I've attached it if you're looking for it.

Hey guys,
I'm going on a trip to Europe with this phone. I am just wondering if anyone has used the this phone with NRG rom with an European local sim card? I am assuming i just switch to GSM mode under phone settings and everything should be good to go??

In regards to those having the problem with the backlight dimming resetting to 10 seconds, this is how I fixed the problem on my phone.

1. Copy, install and open the KaiserTweak cab (its the same as the old Touch tweaks, but with keyboard settings).

2. Go to keyboard tweaks and under backlight timeout set it to 30 seconds (or whatever) and exit.

3. Reset and then you can change the standard backlight to whatever you want and it will stick.

I even uninstalled the KaiserTweak cab when I was done and it still works fine. Hope this works for you.

Did you install a cab? The cab here and one from here are both saying that they are having network communication difficulties. I know that Pandora doesn't work from the web. It says that my IP is in Norway and is not supported. I wrote to the company and got a letter back saying that the Touch Pro 2 is not supported yet.

Nevermind. I don't get reception in my house. The first link I mentioned in the first "here" works better because the text and pics are way bigger.

I just tried with the cab you listed above, the WVGA one. It does work for me, but i do notice that the screen is a little miss-aligned. It is slightly shifted down. other than the screen shifted and words are tiny, everything else works.
