How is requiring a password to flash a ROM, "professional" ?! I hate that crap!!



3 is the "sleep of death" and I noticed it a couple times on the march 5th ROM but it hasnt happened at all on the March 7th ROM. I'm sure this is due to my switching to the verizon driverset for the ROM. If it continues to be a problem I'll be switching back to the USCellular driverset...

I got the SOD yesterday. I didn't think anything about it until now; I haven't logged in since I flashed the latest (March 7) 21892 ROM. Excellent work by the way, as usual!

I see a ton of ppl having issues. I guess I'm in the minority bc i'm not having any problems at all with the rom I'm running. MMS works, voice works, data and internet works. Great battery life too.

I've been having luck lately while flashing by putting the cell in airplane mode before the flash, going back to stock 6.5, check to make sure I'm still in airplane mode then reflash the new rom. Afterwards dialed the 228 number and selected option 1(repeated this programming option 3 times, dunno if it was unnecessary) but that all seemed to work fine for me and keep my data active as well as calls and no hassle with calling into verizon.

Quick ?, it seems I'm reading a lot of problems with the sprint carriers on the mar 7 version, how is it for all the verizon users out there? looking to update but a lil weary on what i've been reading

Ive been having this issue for four days now. It says Error # 11 and then PPP Connection error. Sometimes it goes to the verizon connection settings area and you have to put in your info:
(your 10 digit phone number)@vzw3g.com
(password) vzw
(domain) (blank)

but it keeps doing it and even when checked "save password"

Now, have went to other roms, and it is still doing the exact same thing, so back to Energy 3/7 but only getting data 50% of the time, and have to put in the vzw every #!^% time

Edit: BTW this is all after calling vzw to get them to help with the 'reseting akey' after getting unsuccessful *228 update.

Yes. Just load up file explorer or whatever you want to use. Copy the program you click to run the application, then paste A SHORTCUT into the windows/start menu/programs folder(or any of the available folders in the programs folder) and you should be able to find it in the programs list. Rename it to delete the "shortcut to" text if you want it to look good.

I think the SD way is easier since all you do is put the files on the card and flash. You don't have to worry about "what do i do with these other files?" i'm wit you adam1!

I downloaded the files from Mr. X, only question is do I install to the phone or SD card... I have sprint Nav on the SD and its working fine!!!
