Sprint Manila 2.5 MMS Arcsoft Workaround
-= SPRINT ONLY =-

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...63#post1537463

This is not a fix but rather a simple cab to workaround the limitation that sprint user have with the latest Manila 2.5. I have combined several cabs that have been floating around to make MMS work with the latest manila. What this cab does is disable the M2.5 Messaging client and revert back to a M2.1 style courtesy of Zenyee. You will see new MMS in your threaded HTC messaging window, however, you will have to do the Arcsoft shuffle to send.

Arcsoft version 5_0_94_128c

GPS problem with FEB 1 build

First things first: Thank you NRG for your hard work and commitment! You update your roms faster than i can flash them! You always bring us the latest, cutting edge tweaks and constantly work to improve them. It's a shame some people don't realize what you guys go through in order to bring us such fantastic toys. They would gripe much less if they did.

The latest build (Feb 1) is, by far, the best one yet. I am LOVING it. It looks like everything checks out and functions properly for me -- except for GPS. For some reason, i cannot get a lock at all.

This is the first time i have had any trouble with GPS on an NRG rom. I made sure the location setting was on as well as AGPS. Nothing. Running out of ideas, i went ahead and flashed a newer radio (VZW_2.23_WV - i had VZW_1.88.07WV).

Has anyone else been having trouble with their GPS on the FEB 1 build? Any ideas that i could try to get it working again? I don't think it is a hardware issue since i use GPS all the time and it has always worked - i was using Glympse just before i flashed the new build.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks again for sharing all of this with us! AWESOME!

Good point. I do usually check that first, but it was not the first thing i checked this time around. I think i added the 16 link and BG4all before anything else. So you could be right. Going to HR now and see what happens. Thanks a lot for the quick response!

Question about MMS

What is the problem that people are having? I don't really use MMS that often, and since being on NRG's ROM, I have been able to receive them fine (I never send) until today. A friend sent me a picture and it won't download. I didn't install any cabs or anything, so I'm confused. Just two days ago a friend sent me a picture and it opened fine.

Hmm. Well, i HR which did not help. I flashed back to the Jan 25th build (both versions always worked) and now i cannot get a GPS lock on that one either. So it isn't the ROM. Is it likely that the GPS just konked out? I have never had this happen. It is bright, sunny and cloudless where i am.

hmm.

Thanks again for the suggestion.
