When my data stops working, I just soft reset the device and it starts working again lol

ive had this issue with all of the energy rom builds, when u hit the actions button on the home screen and hit sms, it opens the tmail client for messaging, but if you navigate to the messages tab and actually hit the message there it opens up the htc messaging client. it also appears that both messaging client programs have their own phonebook client as well. thus meaning that this phone is using the resources to run both of these programs at the same time. ive tried the mms fix m2.5 valkyrie.cab and no sucess sending any mms messages as well. i can receive. ive edited the server information on the message options to look like this:
port:80
server address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/mms

any insight on these issues

my phone is provisioned for verizon and all calls and texts work fine

I feel strongly about this especially after reading all of the posts since the 16th release. I'm downloading the 17th now. I'll flash, run Sashimi, and wait. I'll let you know how long it takes for my data connection to turn on.

Another thing I noticed with the 16th release was that the Update URL, Update Firmware, and Update Profile icons were missing after provisioning Sprint. Anyone else notice that? I even hard reset and re-provisioned. Hopefully they will be there with the 17th.

For noobs : Punch ROMs are probably one of the more useful things in this thread. Just Search the thread for "Punch ROM" and then follow the quote in the Punch ROM post back to the "punched" post. Reasearch all you can on that topic for this ROM series and you shouldn't have any more problems.

Ok, I must apologize to those on Sprint who are having data issues after running the energy provisioning...I was thinking you guys must have done something to goof up the data connection, so I flashed the 3/17 cookie ROM, ran the sprint provisioning, rebooted...guess what? NO DATA. It's the ENERGY SPRINT PROVISIONING that jacked up the data connection because it worked before applying it.

Sooooooo, here's what I did to get it working again:

Go to Start--Settings--Connections--Select Connections

Select Manage existing connections

select edit, then next, then next

under username put in your phone number

leave everything else empty

select finish

Data should start back up for you...

Glad to see you found a way to fix it... sadly I'm in denial at the time being... feels like me and my ex gf all over again I'll give it a try later on tonight, thanks! I'm sure this will make many sprint members happy
