To answer your question...yes I am unlocked...in all 3 ways. I also have the correct (patched) radio too. I wanted to reply because I "kind of" found the issue and wanted to share so if anyone else runs into this problem they will at least be able to recover.

Im not sure what sparks this but some how my pim.vol gets corrupted. Not that it should matter but I had alot of duplicate contacts...total size of the file was 1882k. From what I can tell that file gets corrupted and HTC Sense freezes up forcing me to soft reset. Once it comes back up...I get NO bars (no service icon), Sense wont start, cant open contacts, and cant bring up the phone app to even make a call...in other words totally screwed up.

The way I recovered from it is this:
I use Sashimi to backup my PIM among other things too...So I simply delete my \pim.vol file and in Sashimi I restore my PIM then soft reset. When it comes back up everything works again. No need to hard reset anymore.

Like I said...it doesnt happen on the stock sprint rom because there is no HTC Sense. Hope this helps someone else.

@ Proxcee - You don't use the PIM Backup utility to back-up your contacts? I've personally never had a problem using that program to back-up my contacts in the last 5 or so years I've been using it...I did however notice that you just can not have more than one program backing up your contacts, hence the duplicates...So for example if you have activesync back up your contacts, then you restore your contacts with your preferred back up utility but then when you sync your phone it duplicates everything in your contacts list, so I just use PIM backup and make sure that backup is saved on my SD card, safe and sound.

For those of us with memory leakage problems....go into task manager...processes..and watch gwes.exe (Graphics, Windowing, and Events Subsystem) memory useage..it's like THE BLOB...it just keeps growing...and growing...and growing... I'm at 27241 kb after 7 mins after a reset. Phone just sitting on desk..not running any apps other than task manager.

Glad you asked. Just got it working myself. My first step WAS to disable HTC messaging...but thats not necessary anymore. Just do this:

1) install Arcsoft MMS 5.2.7.34...or whatever is the latest version. *Soft reset.
2) Go to the SMS tab...all messages...menu...MMS Options.
3) CDMA servers tab...click the "Sample..." entry at the top.
4) Server = Sprint or whatever you want to name it.
5) Port = 80
6) Server address = http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/MMS
7) Connect via = Internet
Done.

...3rd post is a registry tweak to avoid problems receiving MMS....just set all 4 values to 512000.

see alot of ppl saying things bout memory issues,i haven't soft reset since yesterday and tethered to the laptop sitting at 56% with 75.35mb free

what build you guys running??

Anyone know how to get the owner information to show up on the lockscreen? There used to be an option wayyyy back when that said something like "show owner info on wakeup" but I cant find that anymore. I just realized with my phone locked if someone were to come across it, like say: I got drunk, passed out, lost my wallet sometime in between and was found by the local police station, Id like some way for people to know who I am. Sooooo, any ideas?

Naahhhh...
Every time I flash I let Sashimi reinstall all apps...gmail accts...reg settings..etc. Since sashimi does it all...I figured I might as well let it backup and restore PIM too...so contacts, calendar, call history gets restored. Dups came from funky active sync problems. Once I cleaned it up and made a backup with sashimi I was golden.

Havent tried recovering from that issue with PIM backup but if it restores pim.vol then it should work.
