That is strange, you may want to try a couple things.
1. Make sure the SIM card is install properly.
2. Try re-installing the ROM.

Is your Touch Pro 2 a CDMA device?
The last thing I can think of right now is to let us know which version of ROM you are using.

I just tried to access my SIM card manager and had no problem at all.
I'm running "Energy.RHODCDMA.29022.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Jul .04"
you might want to try this version and see if it works for you also.

Just had to say thanks for this great ROM! I'm still stubbornly using my TP2 with my $30/month SERO plan and have nearly thrown my phone numerous times out of frustration with the stock ROM being so slow. I finally got around to flashing my phone. I'm using Energy's 29022 Titanium only ROM with iPHone today and it is PERFECT! It's like a whole new phone that I plan on sticking with for awhile now. I just use my phone to make phone calls, text, and browse a few WAP sites. I have an iPad and most likely a Nexus 10 in the future to satisfy my IOS/Android itches

This forum has been good to me. So I am willing to sell my entire Touch Pro2 kit for nothing. Just pay shipping. I have four Stylus, 3 standard batteries, 2 extended batteries. HTC Phone with Energy ROM on it. (Start up screen is sharky's but it's the energy ROM. Two HTC USB cables, 1 HTC Charger, four assorted cases, 1 USB Car charger, 1 Video Out cable, 1 external battery charger. Some other assorted goodies. Phone has a quirk where it will only charge with HTC accessories, or specially altered cables. (One of the pins is missing from the connector) but it's a ground pin, so data and other functions like video out work fine. As is, it'd be perfect to bulk up a fellow modder's kit. PM me to make the arrangements.
