You have a cab, you wouldn't have to wait. It'll just add 2.8 mb of space in the ROM, but you can certainly overwrite the older ROM jbedjava version with the newer version in your cab. There is no difference 'cooking it in' as installing it by a cab (other then the older version in ROM is just taking up space, but I've never come close to running out of storage memory on the TP2).

Alright.. that newer Java packed has been cooked in. We'll see how the public reacts to it

I've brought this issue up before with no results, but does anyone else have issues with the data arrows on the regular Energy/Cookie roms? It seems they always stay white, and never go gray (for idle connection) I've had this problem for a long time now.

I know if affects the Energy and the base Cookie versions. The GTX version has a different taskbar in which the arrows work fine. Dinik/Sencity/Glass are untested by me.

Does both the CHT lockscreen and the regular winmo lockscreen follow the same backlight settings as when the phone is unlocked? If so, that's crazy, IMO. Makes the lock completely useless for anyone who wants to have their phone stay on for a long time.

I set my screen so that it won't turn off until I push the power button on top of the phone, because I've found that some video players won't keep the phone "alive" and therefore the screen will turn off after whatever the set amount of time is in the middle of a video. Maybe it was just embedded video in skyfire that I experienced this, but regardless, I'd like to set the screen to remain on for at least 5 minutes.

If I do that, it makes the lock screen also stay on for 5 minutes. So if the phone's locked and in my pocket and the power button gets hit, the screen turns on for 5 minutes, and wastes a lot of power, especially if this happens regularly throughout the day. Slide2Unlock has its own timeout setting, so I can have it turn off in 10 seconds if I want, while leaving the unlocked screen on for 5 minutes or whatever.

Do these screen locks really use the same display timeout as when it's unlocked, or am I missing a setting somewhere?

I would love to see the cprog.exe reverted to a version that can display the incoming city/state of the caller. You are using cprog.exe from US Cellular and it does not show the incoming caller id city/state.

This is the Energy ROM with CHT 2.0 (not sure of your other versions)

Sprint, Verizon and others use a cprog.exe that can display this info.

Hi NRG,

I was just wondering if you ever looked into the issue of not being able to silence the ringer of incoming calls by pressing one of the hardware volume buttons? I've experienced the issue with the 6.5.x builds of Sencity CHT2.0. Apparently this feature has been missing since September.

This depends on how often you have things updating... like weather, stocks, mail etc. I always use: advanced config>menu>more settings>connections> disconnect after: ... to turn data off after X minutes... works fine for me
