With the latest ROMS, I always check three things right after I flash, before doing anything else---(1) Can I send/receive an MMS to/from myself, (2) Do I need the Sprint keyboard fix, & (3) Do I need to provision manually for Sprint. After upgrading to this ROM (Cookie.23138.18.Sept.2010) I found that I need to provision manually in order to send & receive MMS, and I do not not need to install a keyboard fix. That being said, I'm assuming that, yes, NRG cooked in the Sprint keyboard fix.

Also, am I the only one who cannot run XDA_UC? I'm getting the error message:
"The file 'XDAUC.exe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

EDIT: I still had this issue after re-flashing, but I just decided to try XDA_UC once more (after manually setting up my phone, ugh), and it's working now.

8 pp – 83 MB free, Compact Start Menu (QM)= 107 MB FREE !!! 24MB change.. OK multi-taskers.. ROCK ON
14 pp- 77 MB free, CSM= 100 MB FREE !!! 23MB change
22 pp - (default) 71 MB free, CSM = 93 MB free!!
32 pp – 57 MB free, CSM = 83 MB free 26MB change
0 pp – 62 MB free, CSM = 88 MB free 26MB change (seems to be at where a 24 pp would start)
Theoretically the “change” number should probably be the same? Less than scientific testing… rough numbers…

WHY? 2 reasons: (my test & opinion)
1. Windows managed, suppose to dynamically allocate. In the past OS memory leak issues, and inability of OS to recover it led to many ‘out of memory’ issues across a couple OS’s, it would slow to a crawl with under 10 MB free, until rebooted. The 231xx series is ROCK SOLID on memory leaks & giving back RAM after use. We’ll see if this series can also manage the RAM itself & give it back!

2. CSM (Compact Start Menu) is giving up 25 (me) to 37MB more RAM to work with!!! Perhaps this will raise the floor so the lowest level amount of RAM (highest usage) doesn’t dip into a crippling state.
(start, settings, compact start menu, reboot? Y)
Undo CSM: (start, setting, Normal Start Menu)

This may be the ticket: ?????

By the way, have you seen the menu option “ROM UPDATES”?

NRG start/winkey mod is WAY better than Quick Menu! It’s now figure friendly & the background matches.
