I know there's gotta be a registry entry somewhere that determines how long you have to hold down a key on the default TP2 SIP keyboard (Touch Input) before the "alternate" key is typed. For example, before the number "1" is typed when you hold down the "q" key...

In my opinion, you have to hold it down WAY too long. Probably 300ms is all thats needed tops. I bet its currently set at 1 sec. That would be a huge enhancement to the speed of the SIP typing experience...

Just a thought for your next release. Thanks for all you do!
Wow, I didn't even know that was a feature! Thanks!

I tested it on my phone and I would say the alternate keys show after about 300 ms, but definitely not 1 second and almost surely under a half second.

I guess I'll try a hard reset, or probably just wait for R3, but here is how I can replicate this 100% of the time...

Settings tab | Sound & display | Tap Silent profile
Tap Back to return to Sense UI
Scroll to and enter Messages tab
Open your last SMS [this should open the HTC Messages app]

Now watch the top row and see if your sound icon switches from a silent icon, with the x on it, to the normal icon. If that doesn't set your profile to normal, just tap on the first tab of the HTC Messages app, the Details tab for the contact with whom you were viewing the text messages for. Again, watch your sound icon and mine changes, 100% of the time, to normal and turns off silent mode.

I tried a few times I can't replicate this. And I've never seen it switch profiles by itself in regular usage.

One thing I did see is the WiFi Router leave the "power off after.. while on battery" setting in the "never" position. My battery went fully dead before I realized it, but this only happened once in over a dozen uses of WiFi Router.

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Request for R3: Pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned here yet. In Sense, Settings in the start menu takes you to the settings tab instead of All Settings. Does that annoy anyone else? If I wanted the settings available from that tab, then I wouldn't have gone to the effort to go into start menu... This is minor, but if easily changed, then preferrable. This is the best ROM and where I plan on staying!

I second that motion. Its minor but annoying. Im sure it just requires a Registry change for the appropriate target which should be in the Windows directory. But if it is made default to All Settings from the getgo it would be something less we have to tinker with.
