The MMS server actually isn't involved in receiving MMS for Sprint. They send your MMS via SMS and an embedded URL. The MMS app needs to examine the SMS messages for stuff that looks like MMS and automatically download the link and present the image to the user like it was embedded in the first place.

The MMS server is used for sends only (on Sprint).

@ NRGZ28: I'm wondering how many hours do you sleep everyday? I see you on and off line often. Do you smell something up here, so that's why you wake up?

But I just don't like lil punks like yourself who don't know how to tie your own shoes never the less write a ROM, questioning the work of someone who works for the most part for free.

I just wish I would have had the enjoyment of having you in my platoon in the Army. 4th INF DIV, (in case anyone else here is or was in that unit feel free to drop me a line) We had our own way of dealing with spineless acts. Yer about the same age as my son, and its amazing how much more he learned over you.

PS. Don't think I would consider myself a skreech either LOL. I mean I dunno, You can see my in my profile album. From what I remember, from my kids watchin that show, wasn't skreech the lil scrawny kid with the cracked voice? That don't sound like me at all LOL.

In the end, I just think its ignorant, (and you aren't the only one doing it, I just happened to grab YOUR post.) To beg and beg for this 2.5 on a piece of junk phone that has been Soooooooooo Replaced, and then piss and moan cuz it don't work, or complain cuz the cook can't make it work right for you. It's not the cook not being smart enough, Its your pockets aren't deep enough to keep up with technology and want your old outdated phone to work like the newer models.

Thats like puttin a hemi, in a Ford Escort wagon, cuz you think its cool. Nope, Its just a waste of time.

PS: You did have one good point. How come we can give people a +1, But we can't give people a -1?

nice post man. when you're done with him, he can come hang with my old field MP company. we have a way of dealing with people like him too. it's called, "hope there's not an 'accident' outside the wire."

Hope this helps but seems to be good so far as well as the ringer and GPS.
Just for clarity I thought it's important to mention that with this method you'll lose HTC Messaging/SMS (which I like) and the end result is the same as I posted-going to MS Messaging to view the pic. But as with most things with custom ROMs you gotta do what works best for you. Thanks for the info Dude.

winmo, thanks for the clarification. This method will revert back to the WM SMS. Good point.

For everyone using Max Manila Ultimate version 2.2,

Max Manila Ultimate V2.5 works perfectly now with the new Manila builds that NRGZ28 is putting out. No more dark background in the sub menus. Also, I haven't had any alignment problems either.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

I am using the 21864 build 11/14 with Manila 2.5 and so far so good. I am going to go back to the MS SMS messaging which I like a little better but that is just me. Can anyone recommend a different dialer? The one in the ROM is not bad but (may just be me) there use to be a shield that came up so you would not accidently hit a button while you were on the phone. Thanks so much.

Does the NRG files widget only work with lates ROM? I tried it on 23081 10-28, and it opens opera and a download dialogue to download "NRG File.zip" and thats all it will do..

Dave,

I'm with you on that. I've been using PhonEx for a while now and have not had the ringer problem since. It is the perfect all in one Contact Manager and Dialer in my opinion.
