Wirelessly posted (HTC-P4600/1.2 Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en))

First off, please don't kill me for this. My computer kicked the bucket, so I have to do eveything from my phone. It won't let me search on the regular forum, so I'm on the mobile version, which, to my knowledge, has no search function.

I'm on the lates 6.5 ROM with 2.1 manila. I read on here a few days ago about people having issues with the "shift" and "fn" keys. I need the fixes.

I'm sorry I didn't search! I tried, I really tried!

Thanks guys.
Agree with root though I use HTC SMS and the old MMS set up with Arcsoft, the only issue is a slight change in the server of MMS which I'll post below.
IMO its fast as hizell!!!! If you want it even faster I'd install this
Noellenchris7-in-a-row.cab
It's a cab from XDA that compresses the space between messages in email and SMS. I dont know why but it makes the system appear to run faster, esp Messaging and openin/closing files and folders. I've used it on a number of builds. I would post a link vs a cab but cant find the thread anymore. noellenchris is a member at xda, if you like the cab look him up and give 'em a fist bump please.

Since manila 2.1 I've had a problem with MMS. I'm not sure I ever even tried the arcsoft stuff. So I installed the newest ROM and tried the suggested Remove->Soft->Install from the first couple replies. After some searching I was trying to check out threeface's guide but the pdf broke.

Whenever I receive a MMS, it comes up with either the subject text they sent or the filename on the sms tab with a paper clip icon noting an attachment. I click on it and it disappears like it never existed. Until the pdf starts to work, I've got no idea where to go.
You need to first prevent the deletion by entering "http://mms.sprintpcs.com" without quotes into the IP of the server (Thanks ahuskins!) Mine was deleting until I did this. You still wont be able to view the pic in Sense. Once you get the notification you'll need to go to MS messaging and view it there. Small hassle IMO. Here is ahuskins post on how he set up messaging a different way:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...ostcount=17268
Hope that helps.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

couple problems with this.
1. cannot add youtube to home favorite (does not let you scroll down to the bottom of the list)
2. Where is microsoft my phone?
3. the little part of the clock that is sticking above the the rectangle box is very annoying(home screen). i tried to look for the nov9 version without that problem but its the same as the new one. ( the one with the clock and weather location seperated from another, if anyone have it.. please give me a pm)

everything else is good, fast and no other problems so far

Go to the sites full version on your browser. Click the link in my sig for the attached files of the thread, scroll down to the "J"'s and DL the cab for Juicy47 Western Ez Input. That'll take care of it.

EDIT:BAH! root!!!

Yes. A search wasn't actually needed, as the answer is LITERALLY 2 post above yours. It's great that this user base is SO friendly with helping, however there are a few questions (keyboard being 1.) that is answered almost 1-2 times EACH page, which i can understand if the answer was 5-6 pages back, but some questions are answered over and over at least once per page.

+1 Amen brother
This is my pain also.

Don't mind answering and helping but when the answer was posted no more than 1 page or two back and yes, sometimes on the same page?!
It gets kinda old.

Clutters the thread and makes it hard for people to really fnd answers to problems that have not been asked a bazillion times. LOL

Also we have way to many double, triple and quadruple attachment posts.
We need to link to the files instead of filling the attachment page full of repeat files and taking up server space for repeat files.
It costs more to upgrade to get more server space.
We should be more thoughtful of the people that give us a place to get together and work on these devices.

Just thoughts from a former forum owner.

Ok I am done.

For me, to be rocking a 23xxx build with manila 2.5 on a TP?! No brainer!!!
The 10/25 build is ROCK solid.
yeah i liked 2.5 alot, but like you said... for my daily use i need the htc dialer or whatever it is. going back to 10/25 2.1 until that issue is fixed. unfortunately disabling the call mute didnt work... maybe ill try another flash to the 23504 one if people keep having luck.
