No new thing bro. This is part of the 2.5 port, been an issue since manila 2.5 dropped into VGA land. The Manila 2.5 interface was designed for the Leo, which GSM. It is nothing.

NRG has been enjoying some time off while working on the Leo ROM for the actual Leo with the new landscape goodies....We are all still lucky that he even takes time to BLIND cook ROMs for our devices that are not the hot thing and are about to die out. There are other options in ROMS that work and work GREAT to hold anyone over until NRG releases a new ROM.......IF he does.

That being said SMS is broke. It is not fine if you have to disable HTC messaging. NRG has always been a promoter so to speak of HTC messaging so I don't think he would have left it cooked in and nonfunctional....While disabling this is a fix or workaround for some, it is not right. This has happened in the past and was corrected on the next release as I am sure it will be again...IF NRG decides it is worth his time to make us CDMA VGA fellers a new ROM.............

Damn I hope so.......

On another note in NRZ's roms there is a red soft-reset button and I have looked for months trying to find this in a .cab form. Can anyone help me out? I use S2S and luv it but most of the time I like to just hit the reset button and instantly soft-reset without having to go thru confirmations and etc. Thanks!

Yep its a bug that just developed on or after Jan 1. A fix has been posted but for me it broke the messages tab on the phone.

num5kull27 posted two seperate cab fixes in this thread on the 1st. Also there is now a thread dedicated to this issue in the main TP forum. It is a Windows phone issue NOT a ROM issue. Search num5kull27 and sms fix and you'll find the talk in this thread.

Thanks for the tip. I tried that process, replaced the original HTC volume control with yours and did soft reset, volume keys still do not function to lower or raise volume. Is this a fix for that or am I reading the wrong thing?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Worked fine for me. Just check after too I think the dlls are different file sizes, so you can confirm you replaced it. Otherwise I don't really know....

Original dll is 140k and the new one should be 131k for your reference.
