So were does it work fine? Disabling HTC messaging for me is not the same as working fine. If I wanted to use the WM messaging system I would go back to windows mobile 6.1. I don't understand how its working fine. I will says this the HTC SMS messaging works on the Dec 17th build.

I guess what I don't understand is why we aren't using the HTC Messaging 2.1 that was ported over and being used in roots ROM?

im running the dec.24 build and everytime i restart my phone opera boots up opening a page that says file:// filehost / ar (something like that)

Your Opera issues on the Dec 25 build there was no official fix I did see a work around but I don't know how affect it is. Your best bet is to go back to the Dec 17 build.

that's odd because i was using the dec.25 build and didn't have that problem but i was getting the nonworking sms and don't feel like dealing with it. now it's off to dec.17. thanks
