I am running the 21916 Cookie Sep 8th rom. Great ROM! Easily my favorite to date.

I am running my alltel Touch Pro at 710 MHz stable, with the pagepool set to 0. I am really liking the responsiveness of the phone to this point in time. Battery life seems really good to boot, and i am only on day 2 it usually gets better after several charges of the phone.

What page pool sizes have other people tested, and what does everyone think gives them the best performance?

You will have to wait until you figure out what phone you are getting before you determine if you can use any ROM. April is a long way away, and it will be interesting to see what HTC will release in the next 8 months. Who knows, the newest/best may be an Android release.

The NRGZ28 ROMs are great and it makes sense to want to carry on with them.

Thanks rkclark! Unfortunately, mine were identical except for "ServerPort"=dword:1c6c(7276) , Hex vs Dec apparently. Neither seemed to make a big difference, I'll need to do more testing, maybe even some QPST editing.

Very interesting, m00nd0g! I tinkered very briefly with OCing a good while ago, but never succeeded & was too chicken to try more. Never messed much with the page pool either. I'm still on the Aug 12 21xxx, but may try everything you mentioned next time I flash!

BTW, since we're both using Alltel TPs on Verizon, how quick do you get a GPS lock after a reset? Have you tried the GPS tweak rkclark mentioned? I'd be really interested to know how fast your GPS locks are with and/or without that tweak & if your SUPL AGPS registry entries are any different than those above. Thanks!

I just tried the overclocking setup. So far I've gotten a noticeable performance increase. I will probably settle on 692 (one notch below 710) and run that for a few days. So far so good. The phone feels semi-snappy now.

Im running the 24... version sept. of dinik glass and my phone freezes on the screen randomly with the call screen and I have to remove battery and restart. Is there a fix for this?
Also is there a link to the Aug. version of dinik?

Yeah, the 24xxx builds seem to cause problems for many people. I am back on the 21xxx.

Yes, there is an issue with the 24xxx Sept 4th and 9th versions. I only tried the Dinik ROMs, but I'm sure it's a build thing and not a Dinik skinning issue... I went back to the August 12th with no problems.

BTW, netripper overclock works great @ 710 on Sprint TP with PP set at 0 as always.

how much free mem are you seeing with PP at 0 I kept running out so went back to the defaults in the rom.

Try the old EasyShare link. No guarantee on if or for how long the links will work & I'd stay away from the 24xxx versions for now.
