Battery life has been average for me but i haven't had a chance to calibrate it yet. using the phone with heavy sms and Facebook use its down to 55% at 12pm, been off charger since 7AM. If i don't flash anything any time soon it should get better, but the phone seems to be running a lot smoother.

Re: [4-28-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [1.0][Release]

Tiamat kernel is now up to 4.0.0...flashing EVO now. Have had the same issue with borked wifi hotspot tethering on 3.3.8. Will report after flash is complete.

BTW...there is a kernel flashing app in the market. There's free version as well. Developed by some of the folks over at XDA.

Pro Version

Lite Version

[4-28-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [1.0] Messenger

First I would like to start off by SAYING WOW... everyone on these forums are so helpful. Second by no means am I an expert with stuff I'm just really good at following directions . Now I apologize for posting this however after a lot of research i was unable to find an answer so i was hoping some of your Vets may be able to give me a helping hand. Deck's 1.0 Rom is like "sex with jessica biel" (not that i ever had it but i would imagine it would be awesome). The only problem i am having is with the stock messenger. On previous Roms i was able to split the messages up when sending large messages however i am unable to find a section in this new ROM where i can do that. I realize i can use an outside messenger app like chomp, or GO SMS, but i would really like to stay away from having to get another app. Could someone ANYONE please help me out and explain to me how i can get my iPhone killer to send long sms?

In advance i thank you for taking time out of your day to assist me with this issue!

Open the messaging app and select menu, then settings ... SMS split.

I don't think any of those battery savers (JD, SuperPower, etc) are working with GB, because of how GB is configured differently than Froyo. You really won't need them on Deck's ROM regardless. I get better battery life than I ever have. I would probably say that most of the users do. Just my opinion.

Re: [4-28-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [1.0][Release]

i have done a search and cant find an answer so hopefully someone can let me know whats going on....im Deck's 1.0 with Timat's 3.3.7 SBC and I have noticed two things:

1) Random times when I unplug, my phone still acts like it is charging (ie. orange light, charging icon in the upper right hand corner) any ideas?

2) Even when I power down the phone, do a power reset, or plug up the phone, my battery usage stat continues to count up. Normally it will reset after after plugging in your phone and unplugging your phone...any ideas?

Deck, I love your rom thank you for your hardwork!

I am using Juice Defender Ultimate with this ROM and can report that, at least in my experience, it does indeed lengthen the battery life an already great ROM. I've gone without JD and have longer battery life than usual (I use Tiamat's kernels btw). But with JD it lasts even longer.
