Well the guinea pig is back from the lab and.......
It''s awesome. Wifi tether and wifi on the phone. Dont have 4G yet so i didnt do the wimax update.
Still getting the $ but typing su brings up the #
ROM Manager needs full root to work now and it's fine.
The only feature of full root that I cant confirm is writing to /system. Adb remount is getting a Operation not permitted error.
There are other ways of pushing files but I'm still learning. Going to run with it and see what I can see.

I wipe 2X's Dalvik and Factory reset before a ROM
A radio you can just flash. The wimax is not a full radio so I dunno if there's anything to wipe before hand.


TITANIUM BACKUP

Titanium backup is great. The batch operation is not perfect for me. Mail 2.00 doesnt get restored. I have to do that manually. No biggie still love the program.

I would like to see OMJ update the ROM with the wimax radio as well. Then just flash that rom and be done w/it.

Did a full wipe of everything, flashed 1.6r, flashed wimax update, updated prl still no 4G. Noticed USB Debugging was checked off by default, used to be on regardless on an earlier version of OMJ. adb remount/push won't work still. I can get into shell. Same $ thing, can su to # and push files that way... :s Aside from that all is working as good as before. Now I am getting an insufficient storage error that wasn't on 1.6 before, can't install all my apps.

i manage to get back to the old radio!! fckin hard but got it, now as soon as i get full root, ama flash the new rom, and then the wimax 4am

So cool.. used your roms on my Vogue a few years ago.. then the diamond and now the Evo.. Just installed the 1.6r and so far so good.. best so far and I've literally loaded all roms including the different froyos.. I think this will be THE one I'll keep of course till hopefully a solid OMJ Froyo/2.2 release. Thanks a ton! . .. BTW what the heck do you do for a living?

i have a question. when i upgrade roms i just put the file into my sd card then use rom manager to install right? without using a pc, just select wipe data and cache, but when i do that it dose not work it takes me to the screen with a picture of the phone with a red circle and dose nothing, only way is to use that enter recovery command from the pc. also rom manger keeps giving me this force close error. i have rom manager premium

Okay, I didn't have this problem before. It just creeped up on me. I installed Calku's WiMax update (was using the other guy's version before when it came out) and I hope it is unrelated but now I cannot install anything from the Market. I get a insufficient storage message. But yet, my internal storage has 342 MB avail and SD card has 5.6GB. Any ideas?

Did you apply the wimax update? That wipes your recovery image.
Re-Flash the clockwork recovery from ROM Manager.
If the wimax update caused your issue that should fix it.

I am having the insufficient storage issue as well. I am coming from 1.5. Did a complete wipe of the (wipe data/ factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik-cache), Flashed OMJ's 1.6r and then flashed WiMax 2.05.00.06.10. Rebooted and now I am getting the insufficient storage message.
