I'm gonna test a theory I have that could restore all your settings after a wipe/flash....we'll see if it works

ok...someone help. I have searched so lets not go there... I have OMJ's lastest installed along with Handcent. Eveytime I get a text message some strange "song" starts playing. I have changed ALL the settings (turned off stock messaging, changed all notifications) and yet it still plays. Im perplexed. Next thing Im gonna do is uninstall handcent but I like the program. I cant be in a meeting when this music starts coming out of my pocket.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.1 Custom ROM | Eclair | *Updated | 6/18/10*
Apologies if this is already discussed. I did use the phone rather stock for a couple of weeks. Here in my office my 4g was pretty consistent. It's pretty spotty since moving over to this ROM (I did the rom that did not have the radio in it).
Sometimes I have it, and then in the middle of downloading it switches back to 3g (which is annoying when the market or engadget errors). So far it's my only niggle with this ROM. 1. How can I tell my radio version? 2. Would it be recommended that I change the radio? 3. If Yes to #2, is there a way to just update the radio? I'd like to be able to do that without losing all the data. Could that be done using the simple rom backup? I know OMJ is going to post some new content on backup/recovery so if the answer is part of that, that's fine too. |

Grab it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=124221 Check your version by Menu/Settings/About Phone/Software/Baseband version The updated radio is 1.39.00.05.31 If you didn't upgrade prior to flashing and flashed the ROM without the radio then you are still on stock.
