yeah it was covered....by Vancer.....it is due to the power widgets.....turn off 4g from the menu/setting/wireless page, then when u reboot, it will stay off.

I installed a kernel that is supposed to give me better battery, and it did charge better, but my discharge rates are still as bad. My usage comes a lot from standby. From unplugging when I got up to arriving at work (2 hours and 15mins) I had lost 15% of my battery already. Here is my usage:
Android Sys- 29%
Cell Stdby- 30% (Time w/o signal 0%)
Phone Idle- 23%
WiFi- 10%
Display- 8%

Sure, I was on facebook and the internet, but that just seems silly.

I'm going to downgrade my radio to 2.15.00.09.01 and update my profile and PRL(again) to see if that helps at all.

Anyone else have any other ideas?
whenever I see Android system high like that (over 10%) I notice my battering draining faster.

the other day I posted I was having good battery, 74% after 13 hrs or something....I must have jinxed myself, cuz it has sucked lately.

yeah, I'm still on 1.90....I'll be keeping my eye on others results of downgrading.

My battery life sucks too and I'm still on 1.77... Can I just downgrade back to omj 3.8? Battery life on that rom was awesome.

Hey OMJ,

Just been doing some reading and trying to learn today so...

Are SPL and HBOOT the same exact thing... or is hboot maybe just the "shell" for SPL... or is the SPL just a piece of the hboot?

Where exactly does the SPL and/or hboot code reside? In the NAND (kinda like a "boot" sector or something on the NAND chip)? or does it have it's own chip on the board? ... (just now thinking that maybe this all resides in the "boot" partition on the NAND??)

Yea, saw that today, will probably reflash stock kernel tonight until they can get this issue worked out. That does suck if it's ruining batteries.

IDK if this is all part of the RA Recovery, but after updating to RAR 2.2.2 whenever i reboot the phone I am loosing apps. On my home screen the smooth calendar is gone and Overclock widget and task killer are gone. I can see them in the manage apps section but I dont see them if I try and add them to the screen again. I get a Cannot load widget message and then I have to use TB to restore the apps. I am running OMJ 4.4 deox.

Its not the recovery. On 2.2.1 and OMJ 4.4 my apps stay put with reboots.
I've seen disappearing apps of and on across ROMs and across recoveries.
While random it does seem to coincide with the flashing of a kernel for me and it happens most often with Angry Birds, no idea why.

Oh and fyi you are on amon RA 2.2.1, 2.2.2 is/was a typo in ROM manager.

Can someone (OMJ?) please direct me to a link to download 3.8?

I could literally go two days on that ROM and can barely make it 10 hours on this one. Someone please help?
