Sometimes I have it, and then in the middle of downloading it switches back to 3g (which is annoying when the market or engadget errors). So far it's my only niggle with this ROM.

1. How can I tell my radio version?
2. Would it be recommended that I change the radio?
3. If Yes to #2, is there a way to just update the radio?

I'd like to be able to do that without losing all the data. Could that be done using the simple rom backup? I know OMJ is going to post some new content on backup/recovery so if the answer is part of that, that's fine too.
Yes, upgrade your radio. It's flashed like a ROM but does NOT erase your data.
Grab it here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=124221

Check your version by
Menu/Settings/About Phone/Software/Baseband version
The updated radio is 1.39.00.05.31

If you didn't upgrade prior to flashing and flashed the ROM without the radio then you are still on stock.
