Your paid apps are safe, you lose unpaid apps when you flash but they are easily backed up.
The much more important question is what software are you on? If your are on Froyo you can not root at this time.

My calendar displays fine. On Rip v4 now and on v3 previously. What happens when you try to select it?

Nope, everything is running great here. Sounds like a temporary network issue. You could try updating your Profile and see if that helps.

I have also had market issues today, and I have not been able to get the new PRI. Might be a network thing.

It does seem a little jumpy, like when I open my text messaging or email it will open in landscape even though I am holding the phone in portrait mode.

I was running both ATK and setcpu and my battery life was better but was still so so. I read somewhere on here that setcpu was not froyoized yet so I removed that and left my task killer installed and my battery life has been amazing. Just my 2 cents.

Ok I am going to try reflashing the ROM... however I have worked really hard on setting up my icon and screens is there a way to save them and restore to the same rom so I don't have to work so hard to get it back to the way I like it.

thanks...tannerj

Try this test for me using ATK...Open ATK kill all of your selected apps, then immediately go into Android Mate and see all the apps that are still running. You will see all kinds of apps still running and new ones that are back. Froyo doesnt allow task killers to kill tasks the way eclair did. They can stop them, but not kill them. They will come back. (insert mutant zombie joke here)

Yessir, use Titanium back up to back up [Desktop] HTC Sense 1.00
This will save all your Sense settings, however some widgets may need to be set back after flashing. I think it may have to do with restoring Sense before the app related to the widget so restore that Desktop setting last, no promises though
You could do the data.img restore from the nand backup but if you are trying to get rid of Gremlins then I would suggest limiting how much data you bring in from the current set up that you are having trouble with.

I am just not having any luck with this rom... went from 100% battery down to 26% in 30 minutes...with the phone just sitting idle. Advance Task Killer isn't doing anything apparently. I reinstalled the rom (again) and am waiting to see where it goes from here. I also installed the overclock widget and have it set min: 245760 Max: 384000 while screen is on and min:12800 and max: 245760 when screen is off... I just installed this so need to wait and see if it helps any.

I did not know data.img is what stores you screens I will try this out. thanks for the help.

Also when I install/add a theme do I need to wipe before or just install over the top. I thought someone on here already said install over the top, but I wanted to make sure that was not the problem that caused me to loose network communications (market, internet). I am hoping it is just an outage in my area and not a phone problem. I do not want to start over with a new phone.

thanks...tannerj

For a theme you dont have to wipe data/factory reset only davlik and cache, which wont erase your setup at all.

As for your data connection, its probably just a network outage.
