It aflicts PPCGeek'ers who own an HTC Diamond with a pretty damn good Sense 2.5 ROM on their device (thanks to OMJ!). Once afflicted, which was caused by the announcement of the HTC Evo, one gradually begins loosing interest in tweaking their Diamond any further and this pervassive thought process begins to take hold of the 'Geeker ... "aaah, well this ROM will suffice until I get my EVO!" Unfortunately it is a progressive condition that leaves the 'Geeker in a state of flashing/tweaking withdrawl and leads to very despondent behaviour that can and will only be treated by the actual Launch of the EVO!!!

lol, couldn't have said it better.....it's been alot of fun working w/ ya'll, it's been a real pleasure. I have to say it's been the most fun this time around....back in my initial time cooking for the Diamond & even back on the Vogue, I kept my roms more basic & simple. But when I got back in the game, I really expanded, and glad I did. with the development of Sense , it's taken our Diamonds to that next level.

I'm not sure what the EVO will bring as far as rom cooking, thats a whole other world to learn. I downloaded a couple different android kitchens from XDA but I believe they are based on linux & need a virtual machine or something to run on XP. I haven't really dug into it yet.

Well said, Vancer. The other night I almost dozed off while I was flashing Ken's latest. These little phones have been great ... especially since OMJ brought us into the era of "sense". No doubt there's more to come, once we cross to the other side.

hey omj great ROM BTW appreciate all your work. Anyways does anyone have the problem of the slide to answer and keypad and end buttons getting cut off along the button? Everytime when someone calls I can't answer the call because the slide to answer is cut off and the hard buttons won't work and I have to call them back

are you including ArcSoft? that is needed for MMS.....I just tested, sent & received just fine

Very true Bill, OMJ roms and kitchens really kept me interested as well. Here's to hoping we all land on the same device on the flip side again in the near future.

damnn....so you guys have the EVO effect to huh?

i thought it was only me that started thinking about "the other side"...

windows mobile has been really fun.....the porting, the cooking, the waiting, the flashing, it was all beautiful to see a new release come out....sense 2.1...whenn we first got sense 2.5, and how about sense 2.5 2012...when we got our first native kernel ....it was all good and excited

but windows mobile 6.5 and our vga phones are on the verge of being falling off the hill..i was hoping the htc trophy was gonna be released to give us all one last "special moment" with our diamonds...but that just doesnt look like happening...right now i stopped using sense and just been trying to change it up with titanium and PointUI

i already downloded a linux OS (Ubuntu) really incredible FYI...and trying to get familiar with the whole linux/android structure...it most definatly at least in terms of linux is a lot more customizable and a lot more you can do to mod it (not to sure about android os)

maybe one day i jump back ship (maybe a year) when windows phone 7 is released and is proven that it can be hacked/modded....im sure its going to be great as well i just cant wait any longer need a new phone

and us sprint users have the chance to arguably hold one of the best greatest latest newest phones out there in a few short months. U can call it the HD2 on steriods.
