Have been experimenting a bit to see where battery drain is occuring, but if all else fails, will go back to MR4. (EnergyROM is feature rich and I like if over other ROMs).
Hey guys, just found this article on pocketnow.com. I have a feeling this may help us with battery life. Here's the thread: http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/ho...10mb-of-memory
**cab is available on this page along with instructions to perform a registry edit.

in reading the article, it seems to be geared towards the tp2 but I wonder if these changes will also benefit the diamond and touchpro considering we are using rhodium tf2.1 much the same as the tp2. Additionally, the article states that turning of push internet(tf>internet tab>menu>settings) does not necessarily turn off Opera push updates. So I think it might be worth trying it out. Not only will it save memory used but also battery life since the device will not update push pages every hour. sounds like a winner...hopefully. Let's try it out and report back.

Hmm, definately worth a try. I wish I read your post a few minutes earlier, whereas I just flipped back to MR4. Ok, back now to the flash package for EnergyROM. Will post update later. BTW: One thing I noticed earlier today was that on the Today screen title bar, there was a new grey icon that mysterioulsy popped up and "seemed" to be doing something. I do not use any type of auto-update, but maybe it was the Opera update thing you just mentioned.

I installed this cab last month, and no real noticeable difference in battery life. Program memory, however, increased about 8MB, and seems to have lessened the need to run CleanRam as frequently with this ROM, so that's a plus in my book.

I think, with this latest ROM, other than the Battery Polling registry edit, the best thing to do to conserve battery life is to leave the phone in 1x unless needing EVDO for data. In trying this out consistently over the past week, I've been able to go a full day (medium usage, such as several texts, occasional browsing, and maybe 20 minutes worth of call time) without having to charge, and still having about 30% life reported in the meter.

Once the intermittent freezes are resolved, I think this is probably the most stable rom thus far other than MR4.

I have been using EnergyROM (23016) for several days, and I found something like this:
when you push the send key several times right after hang up a phone call, the tachi dialpad freezes, and the antenna sign indicates that the signal is (temporarily) unavailable ((for about 6 seconds), but the phone call to the first entry on your call history continues and you cannot hang up even you push the hang up button.the text that displays the carrier name is now reading "Home Service" if you use Titanium.
anybody encounter this?
It seems like the problem of the tachi phone canvas ('cause I found the same on other tachi intergrated ROMs)

My knowledge of the subject may be limited, but for what it is worth, I was under the impression the "push internet" feature was something exclusive to the TP2 and was not operation on our Touch Diamonds? As I said, I could be way off here, but if we don't have the feature, then it wouldn't make much sense trying to optimize it.

The timestamps I get from text messages received is always wrong. Anyone else have this issue? The time is correct in all other aspects. I'm sure its a simple fix but so far no luck finding a setting to correct it...

I used to have that problem too, but installing the proper carrier cab file seems to fix it for me (I am also on Bell with a Diamond).

I am at work right now, but I can post the carrier cab you need (or point you to the proper link) later on today.

Just found a link for you... just download the Bell Carrier .ZIP file, unzip the .CAB and install it. This should fix the time issue. Hope it helps!
