closing applications is a known issue w/the 6.5.x branches.
since the x button has moved to the lower right, as opposed to the upper right, the apps remain open.

a 3rd party app needs to be used to close apps.

Thanks for the feedback. I did not know about the app closing in 6.5.x branches.

So far so good. Me likey this ROM. Calkulin's Diamond 21876 Spb ROM (v4.2) 6.5
Will comment on battery life, speed, and other such quirks after few days of use.

How do we use google maps in this ROM...?? I launched the app and it was unable to find my location. I do remember the option of "Use GPS" in google maps under stock ROM...help !!!

make sure you've enabled the location service, if you're still not picking up GPS it may help to update/download a quickGPS update & then launch googlemaps

In the newer version of google maps, I think you need to go to options->use gps in the google maps menu. I'm not sure what version calkulin has in his kitchen, but if you don't find it when just pressing menu...look under options.

I dont see options anywhere on the screen.

Under menu I have the following...
Search
Get Directions
Layers
Join Latitude
Sow Traffic
Satellite View
Clear Map

Couldnt locate the app version either...

Folks false alarm. Forgive the n00b here. When I click on the menu, the options I listed above do show, but there are more options for which I need to scroll. I swear to god that the scroll bar is thin and easy to miss. Anywho I found what I was looking for "Use GPS"

How do I go about adding a cab file to the UC. I tried looking into the OEMizer, but not sure how to use the autorun tab.

Also, still can't get Opera 10 to link to the internet tab for the default browser.
