The freezing issue it has is definitely tied to the task-manager itself, not the x button closing functionality. So I just removed the shortcut from the start menu(so I don't go into it by accident), and changed the hold and press start button option to the normal task manager (basically so the enatives taskmanager will never actually start, but so the service that does the xbutton functionality still runs in the background. Now pressing the X button actually closes the app, I get no freezing issues and I still have an easily accessible task manager if I need it.
Nice! Ill have to try this out. Thanks.

If anyone else wants to try, I've remade the EXT package for two situations.

1. What I described above, but using the suite for the position fix also (any situation but manila 2.5)
Applications - e-Natives Showcase Suite 1.1.0.zip (oops fixed: position fix for manila wasnt actually enabled)

2. Same as above but not using suite for position fix, using programatix's Interceptor because it works in manila 2.5 audio and pictures tabs (hides bottom bar correctly in landscape and does not show the whitespace on the side) Not point in using this one unless you are using Manila 2.5
Applications - e-Natives 1.1.0 + Interceptor.zip

Just replace one of these EXT packages with the existing showcase suite EXT.

Shouldnt really matter either way as it goes by classname, so if the Manila class is not loaded, nothing will happen

Been running this way for a week and no issues Was the one thing about 6.5.* that really annoyed me.

edit: would like to note this wasnt my idea, someone else (can't remember who) noticed that it was most likely the task manager freezing our devices, I just followed through on this discovery.

Thanks a lot for #2. I will test it out later today, but it sounds like the best of both worlds. I think I may add resco explorer back into e-natives and have that position correctly with interceptor handling manila.

Ya thats what I was thinking too, as the interceptor is hardcoded to only work with camera (stops auto rotate issue) and manila but is needed if you want to use manila 2.5 correctly.

note: the first file has been re uploaded as I forgot to enable one of the reg settings.

I tried it, and am now flashing back to Calk's 23506. Calk's is so polished it feels factory shipped. It's hard to stray from that. I am done trying other kitchens now, I'll patiently await Calk's manilla 2.5.

calc, im about to flash your 21876, but before I do, are you planning on releasing a new 6.5 build within the next day or 2? seems like every time i flash the "lastest" 6.5 build a new one crops up the next day and I wish I would have just waited day.
