I'm having trouble starting the kitchen.

When I push 1 then enter, the cmd prompt runs for a bit, then an initialization error pops up and the windows close.

What should I do?

If you are using windows 7 or vista, try right clicking first, then run as administrator. Also, do you have .net framework 3.5 installed on your computer?

In the VK, what does the "SenseLIKE" feature/selection do?

Ok I figured out the HTC Volume controller doesn't work with 6.5 in v4.2.

Looks like HTC's T9 is busted up good some how currently (tested on 4.2/6.1 vers) A VERY UGLY HACK is to disable it/swap to MS's autocomplete by doing the reg hack below:

Ok, I spent some time looking around but have found nothing to answer my question which is... When downloading a new SYS not included in the VK folder, but from Calkulin's SYS folder, how do I add it to the VK to successfully build a ROM with that SYS? And for the XIP build, what should I use if not using a build included in the VK?

Example: the 21864 build is not included in the new 4.2 kitchen, but is still in Calkulin's SYS folder. When I download the 21864 build, how to I cook with it? And which XIP build??


I know this will take some good explaining and thanks to who ever gives it a shot.

I'm not a good cook but what I did was looked in the kitchen now and note all the places you see calk put his SYS in.

Example: look in the sys folder in the kitchen and you'll see the 21876 sys folder. You will want to copy and paste 21864 in that same section. Same for the ROM folder. And the check the EXT folder and see what needs to be done in there too.

I hope that helped a little. I think you will figure it out.
If you did it correctly you will see 21864 in the drop box in the kitchen... Then cook away.

Senselike are clocks that look similar to Manila 2.5 clocks. They just dont have the weather underneath the clock.

Everytime I create or use a rom the signal never shows, it always does the . .. ... . .. ... pretty much searching for signal but the signal always works but not showing it so I never now if I have a high signal or a low one.

Ok I figured this out. The way VK works is that it cooks in all of the files in order of the way they are in your kitchen. So basically something is cooking in that weird signal bar and globe. I didnt have time to figure out what package is cooking it in but what I did was choose a taskbar and battery folder from the kitchen that i wanted cooked in, went to the EXT folders and put 'zz' in front of the taskbar folder and battery folder. What that does is make those 2 files the last thing that is cooked in, in essence overwriting what ever is cooking in the globe and signal bar.
