Heck, the TP2 will be out later this year. If they continue with the naming cycle (which I doubt), the replacement for the TP2 should be out early 2010.

I applied the registry edits manually about 2 days ago... And I have yet to experience the ringer problem...

That being said, when I first installed MR 4.8 It was about 10 days before I first encountered the bug.

Calku made another fix for the no ring issue. It seems to be more than just a registry change since the .cab is larger. The last fix of 2 registry changes didn't solve it, as I still got the no-ring bug awhile after applying them. He released his next kitchen (4.6), so he must be pretty confident that this fix works. Here it is if you guys want to give it a shot.

I'm on Day 3 of Calkulins regedits and no issue as of yet, but if i recall, usually takes a week to rear its ugly head..lol
