No.

My understanding is that FroYo is out of Beta, not the TP2 port of the underlying system and kernel (which also work with older versions of Android, I actually liked AOSP 2.1).

Ohhhh. That makes a lot more sense. So, in theory, Froyo itself should be completely stable now, yeah? And any instabilities are a result of the port to the TP2, which we're working to fix?

Is the built-in wifi tethering under Settings => Wireless & networks => Tethering & portable hotspot working for anyone?

When I try to turn it on, it just tries for a while and then displays "Error"

Tested speakerphone.

It works but it cuts out.

Example:

I call Google Voice to listen to messages and it cuts out half way through the voice prompts until I hit a button again.

Normal in call volume is ok

Stinebd said it was very unstable. May want to stick with the apk for now...

FYI, I think that the build in the OP only has the userland enable for wifi tethering. The zimage is still the old one that doesn't have tethering enabled, which is why I was getting "Error". Updating to the latest zimage makes tethering work.

I'm not using it seriously at the moment, so I can deal with a bit of instability on it, though so far it seems okay.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/16] FRX01 FINAL!

Any suggestions regarding the latest build. I keep getting the animated gif screen reoccurring for over an hour and this was after a reformat for each the cab install and rar to the root of the sd card. It either hangs during the gif or it hangs before with the white coded lines with the character at the top. I had this in a past build but I don't remember how I fixed it. I think the reformat or I edited the startup with someones sprint startup.txt that I downloaded. Could it be the WM ROM im using, right now im using the latest nrgz reference? Can someone with sprint list what u put together that is stable (rom, kernal, startup,...)? I'm going to play with several variations today and will post my results if any.

Also is another build coming out today I noticed the kernel "htc-msm-linux @ 20100917_185741" and "rootfs-20100917-f4eabbb.zip Show Commit Log 17 Sep 2010" was updated or can we just do this ourself by replacing a file from your build?
Thanks to all.
