Here is a link to the most recent DH versions - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-evo-4g...med-gapps.html Im not sure if the above linked file still includes maps or not. If it does, you can try it, but if you notice it not being able to update, youll want to remove the maps.apk from the gapps.zip before you flash it. Youll just need to manually install maps from the market. Here is the link to the 3/17 version, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13348733/tes...and_extras.zip. Again, I would remove the Maps.apk. I also removed some more apps I didnt want (bobsclock3d, booksphone, etc.) Just enter the zip file, system>app>and your there. You can delete whatever apks in there you dont want. Do be sure about deleting those other google apps especially though, can cause real problems if a few of those are missing. Good luck!! |

Re: [4-22-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [pre7][1.0]
search keywords: proximity brightness sensor lcd screen settings
i'm loving this rom more and more everyday. gingerbread has some nice little tweaks that make for a very great experience. overclocked the cpu to 1190mhz, my last white 0004 evo could max out at 1267mhz easily, but not sure if its a limitation of the kernal or my new phone. anyway, here are my LCD Brightness settings if anybody was interested. I've tweaked them as to my liking. set to the lowest brightness for sensor detection while still bright enough to view the screen accurately. Enabled: Moving Apply moving average filter to sensor data to reduce flicker Last edited by hachiroku; 05-09-2011 at 09:55 AM. |

Re: [4-22-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [pre7][1.0]
anything for the 4G?? I'm flashing pre7 later today...but on 5...I had the 4g radio turn on and then turn itself off. Something experienced when I was on CM nightlies prior to CM7 final.
Not sure about the CPU usage...I have not experienced that problem with any of your builds.

two things i don't think you can fix deck. probably just a limitation of gingerbread at this time.
camera app is kinda horrible, no touch spot focus, and focus just generally is horrible. i've replaced with aftermarket app internet browser is a bit slow to pinch zoom and scrolling. |
