No - not kidding at all. I work in an environment where my phone switches in/out of roaming. That just kills my Mogul battery, but not a huge impact on Touch.

And ... 8 hours of battery life (9 to 5) certainly wouldn't excite me.

You downloaded it from the first link - doesn't work.

Use the 2nd link and you'll be fine.

HAHAHAH! your late to the party bro. but thanks anyways. First link is a dead file. I download the last link with the missing "e". That worked flawlessly.

I can confirm this doesn't brick the Verizon 6800 when flashing. But now I am stuck on the Sprint network... Anyone know of any cab files I can install to take it over to Verizon?

My GPS finally started working after another walk around the block. Once it started working, I could easily get a signal in my apartment from then on. It really does take some time to initially work.

Tried using it while driving in heavy rain, worked fine.

However overall much less reliable compared to 2.17. I am going back to 2.17 until the official release is out.
When you say, "overall much less reliable", can you be more specific? I have had it running for 24 hours and have only seen positive changes, and none negative.
Thanks,

Thumbs up Worked like a charm

I followed the instructions in the first post, used the updated re-locker first then installed the new ROM. Ten minutes later ..... wam ,bam, thank you mam! I put all of my old software back on, plus installed google maps and I am in bidness. (Of course I did read the first 48 pages of this thread before I attempted). Thanks KmartBurrito for finally making me glad I bought a Mogul. And thanks to all you educated and not so educated guinea pigs for taking the plunge and sharing your experiences.

I'm pretty excited about it. I haven't seen a phone that can do much better with bluetooth on all day with wifi and heavy evdo. And please don't say the touch can because my roommate has it and it last about the same. If I don't spend my day listening to music or simply with plug in headphones it will last till night when I charge it. I can't really speak for this if it is frequently roaming as I haven't experienced this.
